*-- Robert Downey Jr. says son Indio 'likely inherited' addiction from him --*

LOS ANGELES (UPI) - Robert Downey Jr. issued a statement following the arrest of his son, Indio Downey, alleging that he "likely inherited" addiction from the actor. Downey, 20, was arrested in West Hollywood on Saturday after police found a "a controlled substance [believed] to be cocaine" on him after was spotted smoking from a pipe while he was a passenger in a car. The Iron Man actor, who dealt with drug abuse in past, told Us Weekly after the incident that, "Unfortunately there's a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it." "There is a lot of family support and understanding, and we're all determined to rally behind him and help him become the man he's capable of being," Downey continued. "We're grateful to the Sheriff's department for their intervention, and believe Indio can be another recovery success story instead of a cautionary tale." Downey Jr. was also involved in several drug related arrests during his battle with addition in the early 2000s. The actor's drugs of choice were believed to be cocaine, heroin and marihuana. Downey was released from jail on $10,000 bail after midnight Sunday.

NEW YORK (UPI) - Shia LaBoeuf has reportedly checked himself into rehab, after months of eccentric behavior that culminated in his disorderly conduct arrest on Thursday in New York City. X17 reported Monday that the 28-year-old actor traveled from his home to a treatment facility in Hollywood, Calif. "Shia was nervous. He didn't look good all morning. He was looking down and wasn't even talking to his driver. It looked like he didn't want to do it, but he knew he had to," a photographer told the gossip site. On Thursday, LaBeouf was escorted out of a Broadway performance of Cabaret. He allegedly started yelling at the actors during the middle of the show, and was later charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing. The former Transformers star garnered considerable attention for his erratic behavior last January, when he announced his decision to "retire from all public life." He subsequently stormed out of a press conference and organized an #IAMSORRY exhibition in Los Angeles, attributing his actions to an art project.

*-- Beyoncé overtakes Oprah, tops 2014 Forbes Celebrity 100 list --*

NEW YORK (UPI) - Beyoncé Knowles is the world's most powerful celebrity, according to Forbes. The 32-year-old singer overtook Oprah Winfrey to top the magazine's 2014 Celebrity 100. The annual list ranks actors, musicians, athletes, authors and models based on money and fame. Beyoncé earned an estimated $115 million since last June, and her concerts collect $2.4 million each in revenue. She holds endorsements with companies such as H&M and Pepsi, and has released several of her own fragrances. Her latest, self-titled album debuted in December, and has sold more than three million copies worldwide. Husband Jay Z came in at number six on the list, having earned an estimated $60 million in the last year. He and Beyoncé recently embarked on their On the Run tour, which wraps up September 13 in Paris. Oprah ranks at number four this year, and has made the list sixteen times.

*-- 'Storage Wars' auctioneer Dan Dotson leaves the hospital after two-week stay --*

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (UPI) - Dan Dotson was released from the hospital Sunday. The Storage Wars auctioneer had been in medical care for a double brain aneurysm since June 16. He was initially given a 4 to 20 percent chance to live, but underwent a successful surgery June 17. The reality star told TMZ on Monday that the aneurysm did not cause any permanent damage. Dotson is currently on bed rest at home, but is allowed to return to work in two weeks. He is required to check his blood pressure every hour, and said it is a miracle he survived. He credits his team of doctors with saving his life, and intends to "turn his health around" now that he has a "second chance." Storage Wars follows professional buyers who make their living purchasing and selling the contents of storage units. A rule in California allows units to be auctioned off if renters do not pay rent for three months, and Dotson is an auctioneer on the program. The reality series airs Tuesdays on A&E.
