Here's the Scoop....

The Muppets have been honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and several other characters from the hugely successful film and TV series were at the ceremony to mark the occasion, and the green frog puppet thanked fans for their support.

He said, "Hi everyone. Thank you for coming. I want to say on behalf of the Muppets that we are just really happy to be here on Hollywood Boulevard joining some of the greatest names in showbiz."

The mischievous puppets first appeared on TV in the 1950s, and last year's hit film "The Muppets" showed they are still a draw at the box office.

They are the 2,466th recipient of a Walk of Fame star and they were joined by Lisa and Brian Henson - the daughter and son of The Muppets legendary creator Jim Henson.

Lisa Henson said, "As the Muppets once sang, 'Look at us. Here we are. Right where we belong,' and yes they do belong thanks to the lovers and dreamers and you the fans."

Reese Witherspoon Expecting Baby 3...

Reese Witherspoon turns 36 on Thursday, but she's already received the gift she'd long hoped for: a new baby is on the way!

After weeks of speculation - whipped up after the actress sported a series of loose, bump-concealing frocks - several pals confirm that yes, the Oscar winner and her husband of almost one year, Hollywood talent agent Jim Toth, are expecting their first child together.

"They are both thrilled," a friend reveals.

Already a mom to daughter Ava, 12, and son Deacon, 8, whom she had with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, Reese had spoken in the past of her desire to expand her family.

"I would love to have more kids," she told Britain's Closer magazine in January. "My children are the best part of my day."

Jim, whom she married last March in a country-chic ceremony at the actress's ranch in Ojai, Calif., "has always wanted kids," adds the friend. "He adores Ava and Deacon."

Now the whole family is eagerly anticipating their new addition.

"Jim and Reese are looking forward to having a bigger family at this point in life," says the friend. "They can take the time to enjoy the next stage and make sure the transition for all is easy and joyful."

Parker throws surprise party for Matthew Broderick...

Sarah Jessica Parker threw a surprise party for her husband Matthew Broderick over the weekend to mark his 50th birthday.

The actress hosted the bash at the River Cafe venue in Manhattan on Sunday, three days before her partner reaches the milestone on Wednesday.

Guests included a number of Parker's "Sex and the City" co stars as well as actor Ron Rifkin and comedienne Amy Sedaris.

The highlight of the night came when Parker and the couple's 9-year-old son, James Wilkie, sang the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun" to Matthew as a birthday gift.

Seyfried & Hartnett's New Romance...

Amanda Seyfried and Josh Hartnett appear to have a budding new romance.

The pair, who were first spotted in public last weekend grocery shopping in L.A., rounded up their dogs - Amanda's Australian shepherd Finn and Josh's mixed-breed pup Iggy for a fun day at the beach in Malibu.

With Josh, 33, standing close by, Amanda, 26, laughed as she watched Finn run in and out of the water. Later, Josh played fetch with Iggy and Finn by tossing a tennis ball over the sand.

It's no secret that Amanda feels extremely connected to her pooch, and she takes him nearly everywhere she goes. "I'm obsessed with my dog," she said. "He's become my son and my light source and kind of a savior to a lot of people, a lot of my friends."

Josh, too, seems to be very close to his dog. Iggy is often spotted with the actor out on the town or at the park.

Carnie Wilson Has Weight Loss Surgery - Again...

Twelve years after Carnie Wilson underwent gastric bypass surgery and famously lost 150 lbs., the singer has done it again: On January 18th, Carnie went under the knife for lap band surgery.

Since having the procedure - during which a silicone band is placed around the stomach to create a pouch the size of a golf ball - Carnie, 43, has lost 30 lbs. and counting.

"It was the right decision for me and I'm doing really well so far," she reveals. "It's all about taking good care of myself."

The singer, who is reuniting with Wilson Philips to promote their new album and their TV Guide Network reality show Wilson Philips: Still Holding On (premiering April 8), has struggled to lose the post-pregnancy pounds. She has two daughters, Lola, 6, and Luciana, 2, with her musician husband Rob Bonfiglio, 44.

"Having children derailed me a bit," Carnie said in 2010 of her weight struggles. "I'm just frustrated with these pounds."

These two actors appear to have been successful in their campaign to save a British pub, called The Hobbit - and have offered to help the owners pay a yearly fee to keep the place open...

It's Sir Ian McKellen and Stephen Fry...

Lawyers representing the Saul Zaentz Company - the American firm that owns the copyright to a number of J.R.R. Tolkien's works - ordered the owners of the Southampton, England pub to change the name or face legal action.

The pub has been trading as The Hobbit for more than 20 years and landlady Stella Mary Roberts insisted she didn't have the funds to fight the legal threat.

McKellen, who played wizard Gandalf in "The Lord of the Rings" movies, and Fry, who will appear in the upcoming adaptation of "The Hobbit," threw their support behind a campaign to keep the bar open, and now the pair have put their money where their mouths are by promising to pay the license fee, reportedly about $100-per-year, needed to prevent further legal issues.

Taking to his Twitter.com page, Fry writes, "Ian McKellen and I are pleased that The Hobbit pub appears to be safe. Between his FB (Facebook) and my tweet I hope we helped common sense prevail."
