Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

It seems that a big "red flag" in a church is when an individual, usually the pastor, does all the spiritual work of the church, creating a sort of little "kingdom" over which he is ruler.

If there is one person leading all the services, doing all the praying, preaching all the sermons, teaching all the classes, conducting all the music, and prohibiting others from doing any of these things, then a kingdom exists in place of a church. That sort of control inhibits the work of the Holy Spirit to the detriment of the believers.

We must pray for our churches and pastors, that they will fulfill the instructions in the Word of God!

God Bless You!

Q. To whom was the book of Revelation given and where?

Answer below.

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:24&25

To consider one another means to think about and inquire about one another to determine the needs of fellow believers, and in doing so will "stir up love and good works." What a wonderful concept!

My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;

Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;

Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God.

Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel

Proverbs 2:1-5

"The ideal committee consists of two, four, or six people who haven't time, and one person who likes to do things his own way."

Q. To whom was the book of Revelation given and where?

A. John, on the island of Patmos

"I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ."

Revelation 1:9

The Apostle John was an old man and a prisoner of Rome on the island of Patmos, off the coast of Ephesus, when he was given the magnificent vision of Jesus, who instructed him to write down everything that he saw and send it to the seven churches in Asia.
