We have all done it. We have either accidentally, or intentionally fallen asleep still wearing our bras. Despite the fact that most days the best part of the day for a woman is when that contraption comes off, some days, we get so busy or don't get home until late and we pass out wearing it. On the flip side of that, there are women who believe wearing bras to bed will reduce the stretch marks and keep their breasts perkier because they'll be held up all the time. Either way, here are some really good reasons why that is not something you should do anymore!!

When you wear a bra at night, you're reducing circulation within that area. Especially if you're wearing bras that are too tight for you, or multiple bras as some women do!

Believe it or not, wearing a bra to bed can actually disturb your sleep and keep you from getting a full, restful night sleep.

Wearing a bra to bed will actually wear the portion of the bra that holds the elastic and wire quicker. During the day, it is in the correct position, but at night, you're pushing it, stretching it, and condensing it in ways it is not meant to be.

Not only does wearing a bra deduce circulation in your skin, it also reduces circulation of the air around that part of your body and can cause sweating, which will cause skin irritation as the bra and wires rub against your body while you sleep.

Lymphatic Blockage is commonly caused by wearing a bra to bed. This may cause Oedema or fluid build up in the breasts, which is not comfortable!

Some studies say that sleeping while wearing a bra can even increase your chances of breast cancer (*more research needs to be done by professional before that can be conclusive though*)

If you really want support while lounging at home but don't want to wear a bra, think of getting sports tank tops with built in bras. They give the illusion of a bra, are more comfortable, and are more breathable. However, still avoid wearing those to bed.
