Whether you have straight, curly, stringy hair, everyone has morning where they wish they knew what caused their hair to be so difficult. Here are a few tips to help make your hair day easier!

-To eliminate flyaways, rub a dryer sheet on your head before you leave the house in the morning. It will eliminate static electricity in your hair.

-Washing your hair before styling will not help thin or fine hair have a good lift.

-If you have cowlicks (hair that grows in different directions from the rest of your hair), blow dry them the opposite way the rest of your hair lays. It will help keep them in check.

-When you regularly wear your hair in ponytails, braids, weaves, or cornrows, that can actually cause your hair to thin out at the top, making it harder to control your hair.

-To give your hair more bounce, use hot rollers, or cut back on volumizing products such as shampoo, conditioner, hair spray that contains volumizer. It can actually weigh your hair down more.

-To camouflage a few strands of gray hair, apply highlights. It leaves the gray as it is, while lightening the dark hair for an overall even look, hiding the gray in the lighter coloring.

-Ditch your brush for a comb. It causes less breakage and frizziness in your hair.

-Split ends cannot be repaired. Products stating they can, just make them look better. To repair your split ends, get a trim. Then, use less heat styling tools too.

-When your color starts to fade, use make-up! Believe it or not, if you take a make-up brush, dampen it, then dip it into the powder and apply to the roots. It will help hold you over until your next dye job.

-Aspirin dissolved in water, then rinsed over your hair, will help neutralize the copper in pool chemicals, that cause your hair to turn green. Once you're done swimming, just apply the mixture.

-Keratin strengthening treatments are not safe for hair. They contain formaldehyde, even some that say they don't. Though some are safe, there's no way to tell which ones are. Avoid using keratin on your hair.
