June is the sixth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars and one of the four months with a length of 30 days.
June also has the Summer Solstice, the day with the longest daylight of the year.

The month of June is probably named after Juno, the wife of Jupiter, and queen of the gods (Hera in Greek mythology). It was held sacred to her, and was thought by the Romans to be the luckiest month for marriage, since Juno was the Goddess of Marriage.
