Here's the Scoop....

In an eerie echo of the numbers that haunted Lost character
Hugo "Hurley" Reyes, four of the six numbers drawn in the
$355 million Mega Millions lottery Tuesday night matched
those of the likable islander, who believed his luck was
cursed.

In the show, Hurley, played by Jorge Garcia, won $114 million
in a lottery with the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42.

Tuesday's Mega Millions numbers were 4, 8, 15, 25, 47 and 42,
with 42 being the Mega Ball number. Anyone who played those
four of Hurley's numbers won about $150.

The series of six numbers in the show followed Hurley
throughout, popping up in other contexts before Lost creators
finally revealed the digits' meaning towards the end of show's
run.

The coincidence wasn't lost on Damon Lindelof, one of the hit
show's creators, who Tweeted Wednesday that "9,078 people
played Hurley's numbers in the MegaMillions tonight, each
winning $150."

Gerry Rafferty Dies...

Scottish rocker Gerry Rafferty has died.

The Stealers Wheel founder died in his home at the age of 63
after a long illness. According to his family, he died
peacefully with his daughter Martha by his side.

Gerry was perhaps best known for his hit single, "Stuck
in the Middle with You," which was featured in a pivotal
scene in Quentin Tarantino's 1992 film Reservoir Dogs.

Despite the hit song, which came from the 1972 album Can I
Have My Money Back?, Gerry kept a low profile in recent
years. He was also known for '70s songs "Baker Street" and
"Right Down the Line," and his last album was released in
2000.

Kathy Griffin: Why I'm Leaving the D-List...

Kathy Griffin is off the D-list.

The comedian is ending the six season, and Emmy Award-winning,
run of her hit Bravo show, My Life on the D-List, she reveals.

"It was a really tough decision because I think of the D-List
as pretty much my baby for the last six seasons and I also
think it was really time to stop doing it," Kathy, 50, says
by phone from L.A. "Reality is great, but I really didn't set
out to be a reality star. So now it's time to spread my wings
and show that I'm a little different than Kate Gosselin."

"I'm not saying better," she says, laughing, "but maybe
separate myself from the pack a little bit."

Not that Griffin is leaving Bravo.

In fact, the network has enlisted her for four brand-new comedy
specials, which will air quarterly in 2011.

Carlos Santana Weds Drummer Cindy Blackman...

Carlos Santana and his new bride, drummer Cindy Blackman,
didn't let a little rain ruin their wedding day.

"The weather was kind of iffy, so we said, 'Let's just do it
inside,' " the guitar legend Carlos, 63, says of their Dec.
19 nuptials at the Ritz-Carlton on Maui. "Because no matter
where we did it, the sun was shining."

"Rain represents mercy," adds Cindy, 51. "It couldn't have
been more beautiful."

In fact, the couple fully embraced the weather: "My favorite
part of the ceremony was when we washed our hands in a bowl
of rainwater," says Cindy, adding that the gesture was
suggested by Carlos's son (from his first marriage), Salvador.

"We absolved ourselves of all things past and all things
future except the two of us. It felt so clearing to do that,"
she says.

Carlos and Cindy, a jazz and rock drummer often recognized
for her work with Lenny Kravitz, were feted by 180 guests,
including comedian George Lopez and musician pals Herbie
Hancock and Wayne Shorter, who performed at the reception.

*-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-

This pop star's goal in life is to reach the same level of
fame as his idol Michael Jackson...

It's Justin Bieber...

The teenage pop star cites the "Thriller" hitmaker as his
greatest influence, and admits he strives to emulate
Michael's success as an entertainer.

And Justin hopes his music will eventually reach a wider
audience so he can be appreciated by fans of all ages.

He comments, "Music is music, and I'm definitely influenced
by Michael Jackson...

"Michael was able to reach audiences from young to old; he
never limited himself. He was so broad, everybody loved him,
and that's what my goal is... to basically make people happy,
to inspire them, and to have everyone root for me."

And Justin hopes more men will start listening to his music,
adding, "For younger guys, it's like (they think) they're not
cool if they come to my concert. That'll (change), I think;
it'll happen, maybe when I'm 18. But meanwhile all their
girlfriends are coming to watch me."
