Saturday, July 20, 2013Hello Animal lovers,
Nature's bandits (raccoons) have that inherent mischievous look, and happen to have very human-like hands. Some of us go our whole lives without a close encounter with these little creatures. My friend, Tanya, had one sneak into her bedroom the other night though. After thinking it was her cat for a few moments, she realized it was actually a wild raccoon that slipped in through the window.
Fearing disease and rabies, she tried to verbally abuse it and shame it into leaving. (Didn't work) Then realizing she had no broom or long-handled weapon, she ran into the next room where she had a fully loaded...super soaker. I don't know if you've seen the super soakers of today, but they had nothing on the ones I had growing up - they used to be so much more powerful. Tanya's was indeed a childhood model that packed a wallop.
She unloaded a full blast at the guy, and I guess he didn't like that. So he scrambled up the wall, back to the window, and didn't return. Her room was soaked, and sleep was disturbed, so it made for a pretty rough night from what she told me. What a story! Now, she didn't film the whole thing, and I haven't seen anything like that before. But here's a video of a raccoon stealing a bit of carpet.
Pleasant Watching,
