Henry David Thoreau changed my life at the tender age of
18 and this issue is dedicated to him
How did Thoreau change my life? I was a Freshman at the
University of Illinois back in 1974 and I read "Civil
Disobedience" for the first, second and third times. From
that point forward, I have tried to dedicate myself to
giving voice to the voiceless...to articulate a narrative
dedicated to Justice.
Thoreau influenced Gandhi, MLK Jr. and millions of people
all over the world. So it is a great honor to offer just
a few quotations that are as current today as they were
more than 150 years ago.
