Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

A great resolution for the upcoming year is to stop sinning, if you are continuously 'messing up' in an area of your life. If something is causing you to sin, cut it out of your life. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:29-30: "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell."

God Bless You!

--TODAY'S NOT SO TRIVIAL TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. Who said, "I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

Answer below.

------------------------------------------------------------

--DAILY BIBLE VERSE:

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

Colossians 3:5-7

--TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION:

Make your resolutions so clear and firm that nothing can lure you from your chosen path.

--FEATURED FUNNY:

The phrase "melting pot" used to mean the United States of America. Now it means you put the wrong container in the microwave.

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. Who said, "I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

A. John the Baptist.

Now John was clothed with camel's hair and with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. And he preached, saying, "There comes one after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

Mark 1:6-8
