Hint 1: Prevent clogged pipes by doing this once every other week or so...

Pour boiling water down kitchen and bathroom drains to keep
pipes running clear: The bubbling action of super-hot water
breaks apart hair clots and grease, while the heat melts away soap scum that holds it together.

Hint 2: That's it...I'm going to buy a bottle of cheap clear
nail polish this weekend just so I can try this.

Prevent rust rings in the medicine cabinet by using clear nail polish. In the moist environment of the bathroom, metal containers often get rusty on the bottom and leave marks on shelves and counters. To get rid of the problem, wash the bottom of the containers, then brush the bottom rim with four coats of clear nail polish and let dry. It seals the rim and prevents moisture from causing any more rust!
