Here's the Scoop...

This issue was hard to put together because of April Fools' Day.

I wrote this issue on Friday, April 1st. So each time an entertainment story popped up I instantly doubted its validity.

I will say that I am confident that each and every story below is indeed true, but if they turn out not to be...then I was just kidding.

Be Well,
Steve

Cameron Diaz: 'Aging gets a bad rap'
Cameron Diaz is taking on the taboos surrounding the aging process in her newest book, The Longevity Book, in order to teach others how to live their healthiest lives.

In a letter published to her book website, the Hollywood actress discussed how aging gets a bad rap. According to her, aging "isn't about getting old it's about LIVING."

"You need to have information that helps you to not just live a lifespan but more importantly a HEALTHSPAN," Diaz wrote. Her book, she added, will consist of "data gathered from the most cutting edge research institutions, information about the history of women's health, history that we can look to in order to inform the path of our future."

The 43-year-old star is already the author of The Body Book, which discussed the complexities of the human body on a scientific level and how readers can use that knowledge to live healthier.

In an Instagram photo promoting her new book, Diaz added the caption: "Learning that you can age well, will actually help you age better. If you understand how your body works then you can take action to help keep it in the best possible condition so it can carry you through a long and beautiful life."

The Longevity Book will hit shelves April 5.

Robin Wright in final negotiations for mysterious 'Blade Runner' role
House of Cards actress Robin Wright is in final negotiations to join Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford in the sequel to Ridley Scott's 1982 science-fiction classic Blade Runner.

The announcement was made Friday by Alcon Entertainment co-founders and co-chief executive officers Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove.

Penned by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and to be directed by Denis Villeneuve, the follow-up is scheduled to begin principal photography in July. The film is to be released by Warner Bros. in North America, while Sony Pictures Releasing International will distribute in all overseas territories in all media.

Set several decades after the original, the picture will feature Ford reprising his iconic role as Rick Deckard.

"Story details, as well as Wright's character, are not being revealed," Alcon said in a press release.

LOOSE LIPS:
"There has to be something more. There are so many more intriguing things about women than their butt or their this or their that. It can't be the first question every time, or a question at all."

Ewan McGregor on potential Obi-Wan spinoff film: 'I'd very much like to do one'
Ewan McGregor has expressed his interest in reprising his role as Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi in a potential Star Wars spinoff film.

McGregor, who famously portrayed Obi-Wan in creator George Lucas's Star Wars prequel trilogy from 1999 to 2005, sat down with Collider recently mentioning how he would be up for the opportunity.

"I'd very much like to do one too," the actor said when it was mentioned that fans would like to see an Obi-Wan film starring McGregor.

"I think the story between Episode III and Episode IV, I think there's a story there," he continued explaining how a standalone movie could work and tie into the work of original Obi-Wan star Alec Guinness "I think that's the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, if there is one. The one that bridges my Obi-Wan Kenobi and Alec's Obi-Wan Kenobi because there's a-I don't know how long he's in the desert there, but it's got to be twenty or thirty years."

When asked if he's met with Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy, the 45-year-old responded, "I'm not sure I'm at liberty to say, really, but I'm very interested in doing that. That would be great. Maybe there's even a trilogy!"

An Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff film has been discussed at Disney and Lucasfilm since 2014 after the company bought the rights to the Star Wars license. Following the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the studio has one spin-off film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hitting theaters on December 16.

McGregor has already reprised his role as Obi-Wan in a subtle way during The Force Awakens as his voice is used to communicate with main protagonist Rey (Daisy Ridley) during a flashback sequence.

McGregor is next set to narrate the four-part BBC nature series, Highlands: Scotland's Wild Heart.
