Saturday, February 4, 2012Hello Everyone...
MTV's Unplugged has dished out some of the absolute greatest moments in televised rock n' roll. Eric Clapton, The Cure, Bob Dylan, and of course Nirvana stick out as some of the best, but let's not forget Pearl Jam. If Nirvana is the Godfather of grunge and modern alternative music, Pearl Jam is certainly second in command. Poor Eddie Vedder and the gang never quite got out of Nirvana's shadow in the 90's, but has enjoyed a well-established career as top notch musicians nonetheless. My favorite song is Black, and I never heard the unplugged edition until recently, and I was blown away.
I think this is even better than the studio recording - but you listen and be the judge.
