Hello Everyone...

Woah, today's video came out of nowhere. I first heard rumors of Paul McCartney fronting a Nirvana Reunion a few days ago, and immediately assumed it was a joke article, or even from the popular online site, The Onion. I wasn't even aware of the 12.12.12 Sandy Relief concert, so I learned all about it in a short period of time. While there were many memorable performances (Roger Waters/Eddie Vedder, Chris Martin/Michael Stipe, Adam Sandler) The supposed 'reunion' was of particular interest to me.

The 3 remaining members, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, and Nevermind producer Butch Vig officially reunited for some recording on the latest Foo Fighters Record. The performance was the result of some impromptu jamming with Sir Paul McCartney who wasn't even aware of who everyone was! They jammed and created an original song, with all Nirvana members playing their respective instruments, and Paul on slide guitar. The piece is undeniably hard rocking, and almost reminds one of Helter Skelter. It's definitely a weird, almost surreal moment to have an ex-Beatle play alongside the band touted as an amalgam of Black Flag and The Beatles. Would Kurt have gotten a kick out of it? Probably.

Oh, and since it's so hard to find footage of this concert, the video may go up and down as YouTube videos get removed - so make sure you check this link as soon as you can before it's gone!
