Here's the Scoop....
Aretha Franklin's middle-aged son was undergoing emergency
surgery on Tuesday after being severely beaten at a gas
station in Detroit on Monday night.
Two men and a woman assaulted Eddie Franklin, 52, at a station
near Plymouth and Evergreen, Aretha's spokeswoman tells the
Detroit News.
Other details were scarce. The female suspect appeared to be
about 19 years old, and one of the men had dreadlocks.
An unidentified person at the station took Eddie to an area
hospital and then filed a police report. Word of his condition
was not immediately available.
Aretha, 68, who had Eddie when she was 16, is one of the most
decorated singers of all time, having won 20 Grammy Awards.

Paris Hilton Detained in Japan...
Paris Hilton's legal woes have followed her from Nevada to Asia.
After pleading guilty Monday to two misdemeanors in her cocaine
case, the heiress flew to Japan for a business trip but was
stopped by immigration officials at Tokyo's Narita airport,
according to local reports.
Authorities were considering refusing Paris, 29, entry into the
country because of the drug charges and sentence, which includes
a year of probation, $2,000 fine and completion of a substance-
abuse program.
Paris has reportedly been staying at an airport hotel while the
matter is resolved.
Her trip in Asia was to include an unveiling of her 2010 fall/
winter collection of fashion accessories in Tokyo with younger
sister Nicky, 26. But the event has been cancelled.

N.J. Housewife Teresa Giudice's Husband Goes to Jail...
Joe Giudice, the husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey star
Teresa Giudice, has reported to jail to serve a 10-day sentence
for driving with a suspended license.
Joe turned himself in Monday to authorities at the Morris County
jail in Morristown, N.J., a police spokesperson confirms. Joe has
been segregated because of his celebrity, however he is expected
to be moved in with the general population.
According to a police spokesperson, Joe is also expected to serve
8 days of his sentence, putting his release date at Sept. 28.
The sentence stems from Joe's DUI conviction following an accident
in Montville, N.J., in the early hours of Jan. 14. He had his
license suspended for seven months in that case, but was caught
driving.
The Giudices have faced plenty of legal trouble in the past year.
Last October, they filed for bankruptcy, listing almost $11
million in debt, multiple mortgages and unpaid balances on nine
credit cards.
That bankruptcy case is pending in U.S. District Court in Newark.

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is a married man after exchanging
vows with his longtime girlfriend in Hawaii on Saturday.
The rocker wed his model fiancee Jill McCormick in front of famous
guests including actor Sean Penn and musician Jack Johnson.
It is the second marriage for Eddie, who proposed in Washington,
D.C. last year. He divorced Beth Liebling in 2000 after a six-year
union.
Eddie and Jill are parents to two daughters, Olivia, six, and Harper
Moon, who is nearly two.

Elisabeth Moss Files for Divorce from Fred Armisen...
Elisabeth Moss is making her split with Fred Armisen official.
The Mad Men actress, 28, filed divorce papers Monday in L.A. Superior
Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
Elizabeth lists June 26 as the date of their separation, according to
the documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, eight months after
she married the Saturday Night Live funnyman.
A source previously said the couple's conflicting work schedules and
long-distance relationship were causes for their split.
Fred, 43, has since moved on with his SNL cast member Abby Elliot, 23.
The two have been quietly dating and their relationship is still in
"the early stages," says a source.

Miley Cyrus accused of crashing into a parked car...
Miley Cyrus has found herself at the center of a hit-and-run controversy
after allegedly smashing her car into a parked vehicle in Los Angeles
before speeding off.
A Los Angeles restaurant parking attendant, the owner of the other car,
claims Miley was driving a Mercedes-Benz SUV when she struck his 1991
Camry last week.
His attorney, Mauro Fiore, claims Miley left her phone number with the
parking attendant and drove off, leaving his client to deal with his
banged up car.
The Camry owner failed to file a police report at the time of the
incident, but is said to have notified cops of the alleged accident
on Friday.
Fiore insists the crash was a hit-and-run but Miley is unlikely to face
police prosecution, officials state the incident would not be considered
as such because Miley left her contact details with the alleged victim.
Miley's representative has refused to address the report, issuing a firm
"no comment."
It's Miley's second driving scandal in recent days, her spokesperson was
forced to deny rumors Miley had been pulled over by police for talking
on her cell phone while driving on Monday, insisting cops came to her
assistance to fend off the paparazzi.

Chyna hospitalized for medication overdose...
Former wrestler-turned-actress Chyna has been admitted to a hospital
in Los Angeles after allegedly over-medicating herself with a sleeping
aid.
Reports claim the 39 year old, real name Joan Laurer, was suffering
from alcohol poisoning when she was taken to UCLA Medical Center on
Monday morning.
However, a source now says Chyna took as much as five times the
suggested dosage of Benadryl to help her sleep, but found herself
throwing up and struggling to walk properly when she woke up.
The insider adds Chyna is being treated with fluids in the emergency
room and is expected to make a full recovery.
The star has a history of substance abuse and heavy drinking, and
attempted to overcome her problems during a 2008 stint on reality
show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew."
