George Lucas celebrates wedding to Mellody Hobson in Chicago

Droves of Hollywood stars and key political players descended upon Promontory Point in Chicago to celebrate the wedding of George Lucas to Mellody Hobson. The two tied the knot June 22 at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, Calif., but chose to celebrate Saturday with a reception a week later in Hobson's native city, The Hollywood Reporter said. Music for the reception was provided by Prince and his 22-piece band at the park, which was closed off for the event. "They wrote a check to the city for the whole thing," said a police officer on duty at the reception. Actors Robin Williams and "Star Wars" star Mark Hamill were spotted at the event, along with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, "Today's" Al Roker and Grammy winner Ne-Yo, the entertainment industry publication reported. Guests staying at the Chicago Peninsula Hotel for the reception were treated to a gift bag that included some of Lucas and Hobson's "favorite local favorites," including chocolate cookies from Carol's Cookies, popcorn from Garrett Popcorn and Marshall Field's Original Frango Mints, The Hollywood Reporter said. The gift bags also included novelty items from Skywalker Ranch.

'Glee' boosts five recurring characters to regulars

Five "Glee" stars have been upped from recurring characters to regular roles for the fifth season of the CBS musical dramedy, The Hollywood Reporter said. Melissa Benoist, JacobArtist and Becca Tobin are among those with new contracts, along with "The Glee Project" alums, Blake Jenner and Alex Ne as well, the entertainment industry publication reported Saturday. The news comes one day after it was announced Amber Riley, Mark Salling, Harry Shum Jr., Dianna Agron and Heather Morris will be leaving the high school-set television show. The four could return as guests in Season. Morris' character graduated in the fourth season finale, and her pregnancy could complicate guest appearances, The Hollywood Reporter said. The Oxygen network is currently considering the future of "The Glee Project," a reality series based on the CBS show in which the winner is rewarded with a five-episode arc on "Glee." Jenner and Newell both got their starts on "Glee" after winning the reality competition in seasons 2 and 1 respectively.

Demi Lovato starts charity in late dad's memory

U.S. singer-actress Demi Lovato says she has established a fund in honor of her late father for people who need treatment for mental illness or addiction. Patrick Lovato, the 20-year-old singer's estranged dad, died of cancer this month at the age of 54. "Today I put my Daddy to rest...hardest thing I've ever done," Demi tweeted Saturday. "But I know great things will come of this," she added with the hashtag LovatoTreatmentScholarship. "There's an overwhelming sense of peace knowing my dad is no longer battling his demons anymore and that makes me so happy," she said via Twitter. Demi talked about the scholarship last week on "Good Morning America," UsMagazine.com said, adding the fund will help those in need pay for expenses at the rehab facility Cast Recovery. "I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason," Demi said on "GMA." "My father dealt with mental illnesses and he wasn't able to function in society and that happens to a lot of people."\

It's Ruben Studdard....|

Ruben Studdard has already won the title of American Idol. Now he may become The Biggest Loser. The "Velvet Teddy Bear," who won season 2 of the Fox singing competition in 2003, will compete on the NBC weight loss show as he attempts to battle his obesity - a task he has attempted previously with limited success. "I was losing weight, but
I was exhausted. It was making me sick," the 35-year-old told PEOPLE in 2006 after attempting an intense workout regimen on about 1,200 calories a day with trainer Gunnar Peterson. "I'm a big man. There was no way to do those workouts on that amount of food, so everything was contradicting itself." Studdard quit that weight-loss plan after losing just 12 lbs., but eventually found vegetarianism which - along with exercise - resulted in his losing more than 70 of his 455 lbs. in 2006. Now, Studdard will take another shot at weight loss on the 15th installment of The Biggest Loser.

I've never had an issue with my weight," Studdard has said. "[But] my family has a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart-elated issues â?? things I didn't have to deal with yet because I'm young. But I don't want to be worried at 40, and if I don't fix things now, I will be."
