Mariah Carey confirmed as new 'American Idol' judge
Singer Mariah Carey has officially signed on as an 'American Idol' judge. Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler quit the panel earlier this month, sending TV show bosses scrambling to fill their vacant spots. The 'Hero' hitmaker's name was tossed into the ring as a potential replacement and now the 42 year old has been confirmed as longtime pal and consultant Randy Jackson's sidekick for the upcoming 12th season of 'Idol.' A statement from Carey reads: 'As a singer, songwriter and producer, it's going to be fun and rewarding to help find new talent and give back with American Idol. I can't wait to channel my creative energy as a part of this show, which is a massive global phenomenon.'
According to GossipCop.com, the icon's new deal is said to be worth $17 million.

Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas to Divorce?
A rumor's been circulating the web that Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas are close to calling it quits after 15 years of marriage - which is practically a lifetime in Hollywood. A source says Melanie is 'distraught' over the demise of her 'fairytale.' The pair met on the set of Too Much in 1995 and have been inseperable since. 'They used to be the most passionate couple, they couldn't keep their hands off each other. But they haven't been intimate in months and rarely even sleep in the same room these days. It's not good,' the source close to the couple tells Radar Online. Their time together has become so strained, their daughter Stella and Melanie's two other children from previous relationships are reportedly the only factors keeping them together.

If Twitter and Instagram have anything to say about it, Rihanna and Chris Brown might be enjoying a rendezvous on vacation together! Both singers are on vacation now in the trendy French town of St. Tropez, although allegedly spending time in different groups. However, the two have been photographed separately with former NBA star Magic Johnson and according to MTV.com, one of Rihanna's recent tweets may have been speaking directly to Chris! When Chris tweeted a pic of himself flying to St. Tropez with Ludacris and announced they had landed, Rihanna tweeted shortly after, 'Touch down baby, help me pick out my fit.' Although the tweet wasn't directed to Chris's account, there's a very good chance it was meant for him.

Pregnant Kristin Cavallari 'Can't Move'
Kristin Cavallari has reached the point of immobility in her pregnancy, but luckily, her fiance, Jay Cutler, knows a thing or two about pampering the mommy-to-be! 'Jay is making me lasagna... he takes such good care of me. Good thing, because I can barely move,' Cavallari, 25, tweeted on Nonday. Still, even with her large baby bump on display, the star seems to have kept her slim figure in tact. Of course, it hasn't been easy, especially considering the fact that she has had to make some dietary sacrifices, such as raw seafood. 'Counting down the days until I can have sushi,' she posted to her Twitter last month. Cavallari and her Chicago Bears quarterback beau, 29, are expecting a baby boy in the coming months. They announced their happy news back in January, just two months after announcing their nuptials were back on. (They previously called off their engagement in July 2011.)

It's Cybill Shepherd ...
Actress Cybill Shepherd confirmed to the New York Daily News she has accepted the marriage proposal of her beau Andrei Nikolajevic. 'He was a jeweler. Now, he's a psychologist,' Shepherd told the newspaper. 'He's Serbian.' She was previously married and divorced twice, and is the mother of three adult children. Shepherd told the Daily News Nikolajevic asked her to marry him several weeks ago in New York City.
