'Game of Thrones' creators on upcoming season: 'This is the best one'
Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are excited for fans to experience the hit drama's upcoming sixth season calling it "the best one we've done."

The writing duo spoke with Entertainment Weekly Monday about Season 6 and how despite being so close to the show, they feel this maybe their best work yet.

"Dan and I talk about this a lot. This is not us trying to hype it. Usually there's an episode or two we're kind of nervous about, that didn't turn out as well as we hoped. This season there is not a weak episode," Benioff said when asked how he felt after viewing near final cuts of the season's planned 10 episodes.

"We had great directors who knew what they were doing, paired with excellent [directors of photography]. We thought at the script stage it might be our strongest season. Then the episodes came in better than we hoped," he continued.

"We're always reluctant to say it's 'the best season yet' because so much of that is in the eyes of the beholder. And Dan and I are so close to it that it's impossible to be unbiased. But that's my sense - watching them all together now, this is the best one we've done. It's also the one I'm proudest of, because it was the hardest."

Season 6 is expected to wrap up several cliffhangers from Season 5, such as the fate of protagonist Jon Snow.

Recently, actor Ian McShane who joined Game of Thrones for Season 6, hinted at what's to come, stating that his character is "responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you're never going to see again."

After fans accused McShane of revealing spoilers, the 73-year-old responded, "You say the slightest thing and the Internet goes ape. I was accused of giving the plot away, but I just think, 'Get a [expletive] life. It's only [expletive] and dragons."

Game of Thrones Season 6 premieres April 24 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.

Elijah Wood to play Todd in comedic detective series 'Dirk Gently'
The Lord of the Rings alum Elijah Wood is to star in the comedic-thriller series Dirk Gently, which is set to premiere this fall, BBC America said.

Adapted from Douglas Adams' novels and written for the small screen by Max Landis, the eight-installment show is a co-production of AMC Studios, IDEATE MEDIA and IDW Entertainment with Circle of Confusion producing.

The series follows "the bizarre adventures of eccentric 'holistic' detective Dirk Gently and his reluctant assistant Todd, as they wend their way through one big, seemingly insane mystery a season, crossing unlikely paths with a bevy of wild and sometimes dangerous characters, each episode landing them a few random steps closer to uncovering the truth," the cable network said in a press release Tuesday.

Wood will play Todd, who is specifically described as "not a sidekick." The actor who will play the role of Dirk has not been announced yet.

"Todd's just flat-out better than Dirk at a lot of things," the release said. "He always attempts to solve matters with the fewest steps possible; despite being a compassionate, sweet, smarter-than-average man with biting wit, Todd often finds himself at the intersection of morally gray crossroads. Thus, his bad habits of lying and stealing have dire consequences that he can't put off forever, even though he tries. Todd's not a bad person. He's not a good person yet, either, but he'll get there."

LOOSE LIPS:
"Today is the 25th anniversary of the airplane crash. I went back to San Diego Nov of last year and took a helicopter up to the crash site. I feel in my heart that they know we still miss them so much. My love and prayers to all the families and friends."

Which actress will star as Rosemary Kennedy in the biopic 'Letters From Rosemary'?

Peter Serafinowicz to star in Amazon's 'The Tick' revival
Peter Serafinowicz will don a blue suit for Amazon's The Tick revival.

The 43-year-old British actor confirmed he will play the titular superhero by re-tweeting news of his casting Tuesday evening.

The Tick is based on the Ben Edlund comic book series of the same name, which Fox previously adapted as a 1994-1996 animated series and a short-lived 2001 live-action version.

Edlund, who created both previous series, will write and executive produce the revival. Transcendence director and Inception cinematographer Wally Pfister will helm the pilot.

Serafinowicz succeeds Patrick Warburton as The Tick, an absurdist spoof of comic book characters. The superhero possesses superhuman strength and mass, and becomes more powerful as situations become more dramatic.

Warburton is expected to co-executive produce with Edlund and Barry Josephson. The revival will see Serafinowicz's Tick recover from a memory loss and team with his sidekick, Arthur (Griffin Newman), and Arthur's sister, Dot (Valorie Curry).

Serafinowicz is known for voicing Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and appeared in Shaun of the Dead and Guardians of the Galaxy. He will also provide voice work for the animated movie Sing starring Reese Witherspoon.

Elizabeth Olsen addresses 'Fuller House' rumors
Elizabeth Olsen was surprised by recent Fuller House casting rumors.

The 27-year-old actress denied she'll play Michelle Tanner in an interview with E! News after being linked to the Netflix series. Olsen's elder sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, originated the role on ABC sitcom Full House.

"If I did [get an offer], I'm pretty sure no one on my team heard it and neither did I," Olsen asserted. "I don't know where that started."

"He's known me since I was an infant," she said after learning series creator Jeff Franklin was behind the rumor. "So I can't say a bad word [about him]."

Franklin previously told E! he considered Olsen after the Olsen twins declined to reprise Michelle on Fuller House. He put out "an inquiry" to the actress' agent to gauge interest but ultimately decided it "was not really a good idea."

"I am still hopeful that Mary-Kate or Ashley or both of them will come back and be a part of it, even if it's just for an hour," Franklin said in January. "We miss that. Everybody does feel that hole in the family ... But hopefully next time around, we'll have them back."

Full House had an 8-season run from 1987 to 1995 and was revived as Fuller House in February. The sequel series stars Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber and was renewed for a second season this month.

"Whoo hoo!!!! Thank you for ALL the love and support!! Season 2 wouldn't be happening without the fans!!" Sweetin tweeted at the time.

Olsen will next star in the Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light, which co-stars Tom Hiddleston as Williams and opens in theaters Friday. The actress is also slated to reprise Scarlet Witch in Captain America: Civil War.

Which actress will star as Rosemary Kennedy in the biopic 'Letters From Rosemary'?

Emma Stone has signed on to star as Rose Marie "Rosemary" Kennedy in a new biopic, according to reports.

The film entitled Letters From Rosemary as reported by Variety, will depict the tragic story of the eldest sister of President John F. Kennedy and senators Robert F. Kennedy and Ted Kennedy, who was mentally disabled.

Rosemary was left unable to take care of herself after undergoing a disastrous lobotomy at the age of 23. Rosemary was ignored by her family and parents Rose Fitzgerald and Joseph Kennedy Sr. who placed her in institutional care following the procedure. She died of natural causes in 2005.

Written by newcomer Nick Yarborough, the film will feature the moments leading up to the procedure and the effect it had on the family. The script was found by producers Allard Cantor and Jarrod Murray on the Black List website which collects the best scripts in Hollywood not in production.

Stone was last seen in Aloha and Irrational Man. In January, the actress was in talks to portray fashion-obsessed Disney villain Cruella de Vil of 101 Dalmatians fame in a new live-action film entitled Cruella.
