He's not only a wonderful character actor, featured in such classics as Blazing Saddles, Paper Moon, Honeymoon in Vegas, Fletch and so much more, but he was just so wonderful to take the time to share stories from his life and career. He's quite a character, too. Funny, charming, and so humble. He couldn't have been nicer.

Jeff Goldblum gets star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Jurassic Park actor Jeff Goldblum was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday.

Goldblum, 65, received the 2,638th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a ceremony in front of the Hologram USA Theatre in Los Angeles a week before the release of his latest film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Goldblum opened his speech by quizzing the crowd about previous Walk of Fame honorees, before wondering aloud how to appropriately celebrate Jeff Goldblum day.

"Get liquored up and then all go to my house for a pool party," he said.

He went on to thank his co-stars, directors, crew members and his family before closing his speech by improvising lyrics to the Jurassic Park theme.

"I feel like I'm on the brink of my best stuff," Goldblum told Variety before the ceremony. "I'm still learning new things every day. Things seem to be getting better and better."

Goldblum's career began in the 1970s with roles in film such as Annie Hall and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

He went on to star in the remake of The Fly in 1986, earning critical acclaim for his performance.

In the 1990s Goldblum appeared in blockbuster films such as the original Jurassic Park, the subsequent sequels and Independence Day in 1996.

Ed Begley Jr., who appeared with Goldblum in 1985's Transylvania 6-5000 and Norm Eisen, an ethics czar for former U.S. President Barack Obama, who inspired Godlblum's character in 2014's The Grand Budapest Hotel, spoke on his behalf during the ceremony.

"He not only played a deeply ethical individual in that film," Eisen said. "But he's that same person in real life. Kind, generous, a wonderful friend and above all else deeply moral."


Production underway on 'Wonder Woman 1984'
Director Patty Jenkins and actress Gal Gadot are now filming Wonder Woman 1984, Warner Bros. Pictures announced Thursday.

The sequel to last summer's critically acclaimed blockbuster Wonder Woman will co-star Kristen Wiig as the super-villain The Cheetah, while Chris Pine will reprise his role of Steve Trevor from the first film, which took place in 1917.

The studio said filming on the follow-up is expected to take place in Washington, D.C., Alexandria, Va., the United Kingdom, Spain and the Canary Islands.

The movie is set to open in theaters Nov. 1, 2019.

On Wednesday, Gadot tweeted a photo of her as the immortal Diana Prince/Wonder Woman looking at numerous television monitors. She captioned the image, "Wonder Woman 1984."

One of the screens shows Larry Hagman in a scene from the TV series Dallas, while another features model Christie Brinkley sitting in her red sports car in the big-screen comedy Vacation.

Jenkins shared on Twitter a photo of Pine in a shopping mall, surrounded by people wearing 1980s-style clothing.

"Welcome to WONDER WOMAN 1984, Steve Trevor!" Jenkins tweeted.

Christina Aguilera, Jimmy Fallon perform in disguise on 'Tonight Show'
Christina Aguilera and Jimmy Fallon donned disguises to perform inside a New York City subway station on The Tonight Show.

Aguilera and Fallon went undercover Thursday by wearing wigs, hats and sunglasses before taking the stage to perform Aretha Franklin's "Think."

The singer and late night host then took off their costumes and surprised the large cheering crowd that had formed before performing Aguilera's classic 2002 single, "Fighter."

The subway concert included the live audience singing along the lyrics to "Fighter" and Fallon interacting with the crowd as Aguilera rocked the microphone.

Aguilera's eight studio album Liberation, is now available. The project includes a duet between Aguilera and Demi Lovato titled "Fall in Line." The duo recently released a music video for the song.

Aguilera is also set to embark on a North American tour that begins Sept. 25 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., before wrapping up Nov. 13 at the Mahaffey Theatre in St. Petersburg, Fla. She will also be performing in cities such as New York, Chicago, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.


Season 8 will be 'American Horror Story' crossover event
Season 8 of American Horror Story will feature characters from the first and third seasons of the anthology series.

"The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won't be happening next year...because it's happening THIS YEAR. AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER," show co-creator Ryan Murphy tweeted Thursday.

Murphy said in April that next season would be set in the near future and would star Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman and Kathy Bates.

"We're sort of getting back to the Asylum, Coven feeling. That's the tone of it," he said, adding it would be "fantasy inspired."

Paulson and Peters are each also scheduled to direct an episode of Season 8.

Which entertainment icon does not 'sanction' the Judy Garland film with Renee Zellweger?

Liza Minnelli does not "sanction" an upcoming film about her late mom, actress Judy Garland.

The 72-year-old actress denied her involvement with the new biopic starring Renee Zellweger as Garland in a Facebook post Thursday.

"I have never met nor spoken to Renee Zellweger," Minnelli wrote in response to a report that claimed she had bonded with Zellweger on the movie's set.

"I don't know how these stories get started, but I do not approve nor sanction the upcoming film about Judy Garland in any way. Any reports to the contrary are 100% Fiction," she added.

Zellweger will play Garland in the movie Judy, which focuses on the Wizard of Oz star's final 1968 concerts in London. Garland, who was mom to Minnelli and two other children, died of a barbiturate overdose at age 47 in June 1969.

"It is 30 years since she shot to global stardom in The Wizard of Oz, but if her voice has weakened, its dramatic intensity has only grown," read a press release for the film in October.

"After working for 45 of her 47 years, she is excited; haunted by memories of a childhood lost to Hollywood; gripped by a desire to be back home with her kids. Will she have the strength to go on?"

Judy is based on the musical End of the Rainbow. The movie is directed by Rupert Goold and co-stars Rufus Sewell, Finn Wittrock, Jessie Buckley and Michael Gambon.
