Celine Dion books 37 summer shows

Canadian pop star Celine Dion is to play 37 additional dates from June to September at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, AEG Live announced. Dion is scheduled to wrap up the second consecutive year of sold-out performances of her Las Vegas residency next month. Her string of summer performances is to begin June 4 and run through Sept. 1. Directed by Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich, Dion's show features a 31-piece orchestra. Her set list includes some of her biggest hits mixed with timeless classics "that pay tribute to some of the most celebrated songs and artists of all time," a news release said.


Lady Gaga cancels shows, is injured

U.S. pop star Lady Gaga announced via Twitter Tuesday she is injured and her doctors advised her to postpone three concerts this week. "I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened," she tweeted. "I've been praying it would heal," she wrote. "I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't. "To the fans in Chicago Detroit & Hamilton I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devasted & sad. It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry." Her website said she is suffering from synovitis or severe inflammation of joints.

Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria are expecting

Alec Baldwin's publicist says the New York actor's wife, Hilaria, is pregnant with their first child. "We're so thrilled and we can't wait to meet our baby," the couple told People.com in a statement Tuesday. Hilaria expects to deliver the child this summer. Baldwin, 54, married the 29- year-old yoga instructor in June 2012, following a three-month engagement. The baby will be his second child. He also has a 17-year-old daughter from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger. Baldwin, who recently wrapped up a seven-season stint on the TV sitcom "30 Rock," will headline the first Broadway production of a Lyle Kessler play, "Orphans," starting March 19.


Britain's royal family is upset over photos

Britain's royal family is upset over the anticipated publication of photos showing pregnant Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton in a bikini while on vacation. People.com said the unauthorized, long-lens shots were taken on the private island of Mustique last week. "We are disappointed that photographs of the duke and duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas," a spokesman for the couple at St. James's Palace told the celebrity magazine Tuesday. "This is a clear breach of the couple's right to privacy." Photos of the duchess sunbathing topless in France while on vacation with her husband, Prince William, were published about six months ago. The couple married in April 2011 and announced in December they are expecting their first child.

It's Vivienne Jolie-Pitt

The 4-year-old daughter of Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will earn $3,000 a week for her role in her mother's film, "Maleficent," TMZ said. Vivienne Jolie-Pitt also will earn $60 per day for expenses while she plays young Aurora in the big-screen retelling of the fairy tale "Sleeping Beauty," the celebrity news website said. There was no word how long Vivienne is expected to work on the movie. Jolie is playing the titular evil sorceress, while India Eisley will play young Maleficent.
