Actresses Halle Berry and Jamie King both welcomed baby
boys over the weekend. It is the second child for Halle and first for Jamie. No word on the names yet, I'm sure there will be more to report on that later this week.

Miley Cyrus says she has quit acting

U.S. pop star Miley Cyrus says she has no plans to act again and instead wants to concentrate on her music. She made the statement during Sunday's MTV special "Miley: The Movement." "I thought after my show I was gonna act," she told MTV, referring to her former tween sitcom "Hannah Montana." "I did one movie and I came back and said: 'I'm never doing that again. I'm going to do music for the rest of my life.'" E! News said the movie Cyrus was talking about was "So Undercover," a February 2013 direct-to-DVD release, co- starring Jeremy Piven, Kelly Osbourne and Josh Bowman.

Charlize Theron recovering from neck surgery

South African-born actress Charlize Theron is recovering from surgery to treat an old neck injury, UsMagazine.com reported Monday. The 38-year-old "Monster" Oscar winner was hurt while making the action flick "Aeon Flux" in 2004. "Charlize got injured on a set and broke a vertebrae years ago," an insider told UsMagazine.com. "It's been bothering her a lot lately so she had surgery to correct it and they had to go through her neck. ... She will be totally fine."
Theron has not publicly spoken about her operation and wore a scarf around her neck to Variety's 5th annual Power of Women event in Beverly Hills Friday. "She's got a small Band-Aid on her neck," a second source said. "She kept fussing with the white scarf she [was] wearing to cover it."


Carson Daly, host of 'The Voice,' to wed food blogger Siri Pinter

U.S. television personality Carson Daly is engaged to food blogger Siri Pinter, the mother of his two children, UsMagazine.com reported. Daly and Pinter started dating six years ago. They are the parents of son Jack, 3, and daughter Etta Jones, 13 months. UsMagazine.com said Pinter was spotted showing off her new engagement ring during a weekend outing in Los Angeles. Daly is the host of the singing competition series "The Voice" and a contributor to the morning program "Today."

'The Simpsons' is renewed for a 26th season

The U.S. animated sitcom "The Simpsons" has been renewed for a 26th season, Fox announced. "For more than a quarter of a century, 'The Simpsons' has captured the hearts and minds of fans in a way that transcends ages, languages and cultures," Kevin Reilly, chairman of Fox Entertainment, said in a statement Friday. "This groundbreaking series is not only the longest-running scripted show in television history, it's one of the greatest sitcoms of our time, and I'm looking forward to yet another landmark season." Season 25 premiered Sept. 29.
