Here's the Scoop...
Michelle Pfeiffer recalls her days with breatharianism cult
Actress Michelle Pfeiffer says she briefly belonged to a cult that believed humans could live only on sunlight when she first arrived in Hollywood. Pfeiffer, 55, told Britain's Sunday Telegraph newspaper she was in her early 20s when she joined the group run by a "very controlling" couple who believed in breatharianism and put Pfeiffer on a strict diet she said "nobody can adhere to." The actress said she realized what she was involved in when she met her first husband, actor Peter Horton, who was researching the religious movement led by the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity for a film role. "We were talking with an ex-Moonie and he was describing the psychological manipulation and I just clicked," Pfieffer told the Telegraph, adding she initially thought of the couple with whom she was working as "kind of personal trainers." "I wasn't living with them, but I was there a lotand they were always telling me I needed to come more. I had to pay for all the time I was there, so it was financially very draining," she said.

Lea Michele: Kate Hudson was a huge help after Cory Monteith's death
U.S. actress and singer Lea Michele says her close friend, Kate Hudson, has been helping her deal with the death of her boyfriend, actor Cory Monteith. Monteith died last July of an accidental heroin overdose. He was 31. "I called [Hudson] and said, 'I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters,']" Michele told Elle magazine. "She was like, 'Oh, you're going to stay at my house.' Like it was nothing," Michele said. "She let my family stay there, and any of my friends. She made sure that in the refrigerator were my favorite juices. I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me." Michele and Monteith co-starred together on the TV dramedy series "Glee."
Eminem feels 'good,' is excited about new album
U.S. rapper Eminem says he feels good about this week's release of his first album in more than three years and is "excited" about its prospects. Eminem, when asked by the Detroit Free Press how he's feeling, responded "good" -- and said the Tuesday release of "The Marshall Mathers LP2" has him "excited about making the music and I want people to hear it." The title of the 21-track album refers to his 2000 breakthrough "The Marshall Mathers LP," and is in some ways a throwback to his early sound. "While recording the album, people who would hear a song would say it reminded them of the first time they heard me. The more I listened to it, the more it made sense to call it that. "We knew that if we called it that, we needed to have the right songs. There needs to be a certain kind of vibe," Eminem added. The best-selling rapper told the newspaper he was nervous at first, working with famed producer Rick Rubin, but that changed once he got in the studio. "I felt like a kid in the studio working with Rick," he said. "Obviously, it's an incredible honor. The way he can dip in and out of different genres... he's like Yoda, a Jedi master."
