Here's the Scoop....

Jessica Simpson may be keeping mum about what may or may not be impending mommyhood, but her ex, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, is playing it more direct.

During a visit to Cedar Hill High School near Dallas, a student asked if he has any children. "Um, no, I don't have any kids," Tony replied, following up with, "I've actually got one on the way. My wife's pregnant."

As the students clapped, Tony, 31, smiled, raised his fist and said, "It'll be fun."

Tony and his wife, Candice Crawford, 24, were married on May 28th.

The Cowboys star dated Jessica Simpson from 2007 to 2009 and football fans at times wondered if their relationship had anything to do with the Cowboys' shortcomings.

Guess they'll soon be able to blame their QB's diaper duty and sleepless nights instead.

Now, let's get to the rest of the nooz...

John Mayer on vocal rest after surgery...

Singer/songwriter John Mayer has undergone throat surgery to remove a granuloma from just above his vocal cord.

The "Daughters" and "Waiting For The World To Change" hitmaker made the announcement on his blog, revealing he is now "on complete vocal rest for a month or more."

He writes, "It's been a very long process in waiting to see if time was an alternative to surgery, but even given two weeks' voice rest (along with many other approaches), there was no change for the better."

He adds, "I should be frustrated but I can't seem to stop thinking about beautiful things. I never thought I'd be wishing I could do what I love again; I stay in at night, picking guitar parts off of records and dreaming of playing on the big stage. The only difference between now and when I was 18 is that now I have this beautiful, meaningful record waiting for me when I can sing it.

"Until then, I'm taking off. Going to travel the country, look and listen."

The actor has two children with Marsha, 22-year-old daughter Zelda and 19-year-old son Cody.

Lindsay Lohan Will Appear in Playboy...

Lindsay Lohan may not have had a workday performing community service at the Los Angeles County morgue on Monday, but she's working overtime on her behalf.

The troubled actress posed for the pages of Playboy magazine.

"The photo shoot went well," her mother Dina Lohan reveals.

According to reports, Lindsay will be appearing on the cover, though the magazine wouldn't discuss it.

"We are not commenting," a spokesperson for Playboy said.

Lindsay's rep, Steve Honig, adds, "I cannot confirm."

But earlier this month Honig said, "We get requests every week wanting to do photo shoots with her from top photographers."

TMZ.com reports that Lindsay is being paid nearly $1 million for the Playboy shoot.

In 2008, she appeared nude in a New York magazine spread mirroring Marilyn Monroe's famous final 1962 shoot for photographer Bert Stern.

Chmerkovskiy Attacks the Judges on Dancing with the Stars...

He danced the rumba on Broadway night, then orchestrated a show-stopping fight.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy melted down Monday on Dancing with the Stars, railing against the judges, specifically Len Goodman, after receiving 20 out of 30 points for his routine with partner Hope Solo.

"Hope, I've never lost faith in you," Len said, after the dance to "Seasons of Love" from the musical Rent. "I always feel like there is so much there, and for some reason it hasn't come out."

Continued Goodman: "This is your worst dance of the season in my opinion."

But Maksim disagreed, and he didn't mince words.

After arguing with Goodman, who scolded the dance pro, telling him, "I've been in this business for 50 years," Chmerkovskiy sharply retorted: "Then maybe it's time to go!"

The two yelled back and forth before Maks and Hope headed backstage, where Chmerkovskiy told host Brooke Charvet, "With all due respect, this is my show. I help make it what it is," as a general feeling of anxiety and discomfort filled the ballroom.

"We were never really married," Tara said this week after stepping off a plane in Los Angeles. "No, it was never legal."

At the time, Tara, 35, Tweeted both her engagement and the nuptials within 24 hours of each other.

The American Pie star also said if she and Zack Kehayov were on the classic game show The Newlywed Game, "We would lose."
