Here's the Scoop...

What's weird about today's issue is that two of the four celeb stories I have for you are about hair. What's more weird is that these two hair pieces, I made a funny, are about dudes losing their hair. Interesting, right?

Well, you know what they say - hair today, gone tomorrow. Okay, I'll stop.

Be Well,
Steve

Maggie Smith to depart 'Downton Abbey'
Maggie Smith plans to leave Downton Abbey.

The 80-year-old actress portrays Violet Crawley on the ITV series, and revealed she will depart after season six in an interview with The London Times. The announcement comes amid rumors the program will come to a close after the upcoming season.

"They say this is the last one, and I can't see how it could go on," she confessed before commenting on her character's advanced age. "I mean, I certainly can't keep going. To my knowledge, I must be 110 by now!"

Downton Abbey debuted in 2010, and airs on PBS in the U.S. The period drama follows the aristocrats and servants who live and work at an English manor in the 1900s, and creator Julian Fellowes recently admitted he is unsure if the show will continue past season six.

"I don't own Downtown Abbey now. NBC Universal [does]," he told the New York Times. "So I could walk away, but I wouldn't walk away. It's too much my baby. It won't go on forever -- I'm not a believer in that. But I can't immediately now tell you where the end will be."

Downton Abbey concluded a fifth season on ITV in November 2014. The series co-stars Hugh Bonneville as Lord Robert Crawley, Elizabeth McGovern as his wife Cora, and Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael and Jessica Brown-Findlay as their daughters Mary, Edith and Sybil.

Norman Reedus is keeping Andrew Lincoln's 'Walking Dead' beard in his fridge
British actor Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes character shaved off his bushy beard on Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead.

"Cutting all my beard off, on-camera, that was one of the trickiest days of my acting life," Lincoln explained in a pre-taped interview that aired on the analysis program Talking Dead.

"They put two cameras on me, gave me some scissors and rolled the tape," the actor explained. "I was so kind of transfixed by who this guy was underneath this and it was such an extraordinary thing to see, and the weirdest thing is that [co-star] Norman [Reedus] said, 'I want your beard.' So, I had to collect all the stuff in a bag and then Norman wanted... For some reason only known to Norman Reedus, he wanted my beard and I think it is still in his refrigerator back in Atlanta."

"We gave him the hardest time I think of anybody ever at work," co-star Alanna Masterson said about Lincoln in a live interview on Talking Dead. "He came in for lunch the first day he had no beard, and he sat down and right as he sat down, we all got up and went to a different table. He's like, 'Come on, guys!' And then we were like being like, 'Hey, Love Actually.'"

Jared Leto shaves beard, cuts hair for 'Suicide Squad'
Jared Leto will sport a new look in Suicide Squad.

The 43-year-old actor is well-known for his long, flowing ombré locks, but shaved his beard and cut his hair short this week to portray the Joker in the DC Comics film.

Director David Ayer teased the change Monday on Twitter by posting a photo of himself holding a scissors up to the star's ponytail. Leto shared a picture of his new, close-cropped look Tuesday on Instagram, and captioned the snapshot, "...#gone!"

Suicide Squad will co-star Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. The film follows the Suicide Squad, a team of antihero villains who carry out dangerous missions for the U.S. government in exchange for commuted prison sentences.

In the comics, the Joker is a criminal mastermind and archenemy to the superhero Batman. The character is generally presented as a psychopath with a sadistic sense of humor, and was previously played by Jack Nicholson in Batman and late actor Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight.

Leto last appeared with Matthew McConaughey in Dallas Buyers Club, and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Rayon in the film. The actor also fronts rock band 30 Seconds to Mars, and released Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams in May 2013.
