Pop star Pink came to the rescue of a badly injured dog by reportedly paying for the puppy to undergo life-saving surgery.
The animal-loving singer read a story online about the plight of the pooch, which had sustained three broken legs after it was thrown off an overpass in Los Angeles, and contacted a rescue charity to offer her assistance, according to reports.
The website reports Pink handed over $5,000 to the Ace of Hearts animal rescue organization to pay for the puppy's successful surgery. The dog has since reportedly been adopted by a local family.

Lovato Angry at Disney Channel over Eating Disorder Joke...
Demi Lovato's health has improved since seeking treatment for "emotional and physical issues" a year ago, but the topic of food is still a sensitive one.
After watching a recent episode of the Disney Channel's Shake It Up, the actress, 19, took to Twitter to express her anger and disapproval after a character made the comment, "I could just eat you up, well, if I ate," in jest.
"What are we promoting here? #notfunnyATALL," she Tweeted on Friday. "I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress' from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make [a] joke about [it]."
And the network took notice.
Later that day, Demi got a response from a Disney Channel rep, who said they were pulling the episode she originally referred to, along with an episode of So Random! that also pokes fun at food issues.
"It's NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!" @DisneyChanelPR wrote shortly after Demi's comments.
The "Skyscraper" singer thanked the network, but added that she misses the days when actresses like Raven-Symoné and Hilary Duff were on the channel because now everyone on it seems to be "getting THINNER AND THINNER."
Sinead O'Connor Ends Marriage - After 18 Days...
Eighteen days after her Dec. 8 Las Vegas wedding to boyfriend Barry Herridge, Sinead O'Connor is ending the marriage, the "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer announced Monday on her website.
"Dear friends," O'Connor 45, writes, "I had for reasons u will all understand, wished to keep this private but have been told today it is to be leaked in the next few days despite my best efforts. So I must now leak it myself so as the record is straight."
She blames pressures placed upon him by "certain people in his life" not to be with her based on press reports about her.
"Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband's life. And also by a bit of a wild ride I took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don't drink," she writes. "My husband was enormously wounded and very badly effected by that experience and also by the attitude of those close to him toward our marriage. It became apparent to me that if he were to stay with me he would be losing too much to bear."
She adds, "A woman wants to be a joy to her husband. So, you love someone? Set them free."
She also says, "He is a wonderful man. I love him very much. I'm sorry I'm not a more regular woman. I truly believe though it is painful to admit, we made a mistake rushing into getting married, for altruistic reasons, and weren't aware or prepared for the consequences on my husband's life and the lives of those close to him. He has been terribly unhappy and I have therefore ended the marriage. I think he is too nice to do so. And too nice to trap."
O'Connor, who has four children from her previous relationships, wed music producer John Reynolds in 1989 and journalist Nicholas Sommerlad in 2001. This past April, she split from longtime friend and collaborator Steve Cooney.

"Ordinary People" soul singer John Legend is doing something extraordinary - he's getting married.
"John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives," John's rep, Cindi Berger, reveals.
No further details were provided, but John's whereabouts this coming weekend are being reported in Las Vegas newspapers.
The singer, 32, will be performing at The Pearl at the Palms on New Year's Eve. His latest album, with The Roots, is Wake Up!

The Oscar-winning actress hosted the bash at the Piano Bar in Los Angeles last weekend and the invitation told guests to expect "A Redneck Christmas, Y'all..." with "beers and boot scootin? fun".
Swank co-hosted the party with publicist Stephanie Shaw, who reveals, "We wanted it to be the opposite of the Hollywood formal holiday party. We had Rice Krispies (Treats), Natty Lights (Natural Light Beer) and redneck punch.
?We had tons of beer in buckets on the tables and hot dogs... Hilary got into the spirit of it, she had so much fun. We were all going to wear tanks that said 'Ho ho ho' - but they didn?t arrive in time, so Hilary was in a cute cowgirl outfit."
