Oprah Winfrey will indulge in all things vampire and werewolf
on Friday, when Twilight author Stephenie Meyer is to sit down
for a rare interview.
"Since I'm only doing one interview, better make it really,
really big," Stephanie wrote on her blog.
But since the Oprah interview will be geared toward a
mainstream audience, die hard fans shouldn't expect too many
secrets to be spilled. To that end, Meyer is answering questions
about the series online at the official Twilight Saga Web site.
Just don't expect any answers about Robert Pattinson and Kristen
Stewart or Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift.

Lopez Sues Ex over Honeymoon Tape...
Jennifer Lopez has filed a $10 million lawsuit against ex-husband
Ojani Noa, whom she claims is violating a confidentiality
agreement in place since 2004 by shopping around a sexy honeymoon
video the two made in 1997.
The video, called How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and Ojani
Noa Story, reputedly includes Jennifer, wearing skimpy clothing and
supposedly being spanked by Noa. It reportedly also contains a fight
between her and her mother.
Jennifer wants all the footage of her handed over so her lawyers
can see whether Noa violated their confidentiality agreement. In
2007, she won a lawsuit that forbade him from publishing a tell-all
book about their 11-month marriage. That book allegedly claimed
Jennifer frequently cheated on Noa, including with her current
husband, Marc Anthony.
A Los Angeles judge has ordered Noa not to release the video while
the case is being decided. The jurist is set to rule Tuesday on
whether to continue his order barring distribution.

NBA Legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Has Cancer...
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, one of basketball's all-time greatest
players, announced Tuesday morning that he has cancer. The
sports legend made the public disclosure nearly a year after
being diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia.
"Having lost one of my closest friends to a different, highly
aggressive form of leukemia, I knew how serious my diagnosis
was," said Abdul-Jabbar, 62. "My own life expectancy became a
question mark."
Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA's all-time leading scorer, won five
championships with the Los Angeles Lakers before retiring in
1989. He was diagnosed with CML in December 2008 and is being
treated with a medicine that targets the abnormal protein that
causes his leukemia. With treatment, Abdul-Jabbar, who
currently is a coach with the Lakers, is expected to live a
full, active life.
The intensely private Abdul-Jabbar, a father of five, said he
came forward after learning many patients don't regularly take
their medication and skip appointments to the doctor.
"I'm telling my story to encourage fellow patients to take
charge of their health," he said. "Work closely with your
doctor, monitor your disease and, above all, take your
medicine."

Rihanna's Personal Pain Fueled Album...
From the pain comes the creativity. While writing songs for her
upcoming album, Rated R, Rihanna had to let down her guard and
draw from a private place full of pain to express herself
through music.
"I'm usually a very guarded person, so having to go in and reach
your emotions and personal things to say, it was very vulnerable,"
Rihanna said Monday night's Glamour Women of the Year Awards in
New York City.
She said the inspiration for her upcoming album, which will be
released Nov. 23, come from "personal experiences mixed with
rock and hip-hop."
Since February, when she was beaten by then-boyfriend Chris Brown,
Rihanna has had to deal with court proceedings and criticism for
taking Brown back. Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault after
pictures of her battered face were leaked. After leaving him,
she revealed that he had shoved her into a car window, punched
her several times in the face, and bit her.

Nicolas Cage owes $6 million to the government in back taxes and
sued his business manager for $20 million for leading him "down
a path of financial ruin," But it sounds like he accomplished
it on his own!
Nicolas has purchased quite an array of items over the past few
years, including outbidding Leonardo DiCaprio for a dinosaur skull
priced at $276,000. He once owned 3 castles and two islands in the
Bahamas. One of his mansions in Bel Air had a billiard room with
his 1955 Jaguar parked inside including a variety of "shrunken
heads."
Nicolas also owns a jet and two yachts and a used Lamborghini he
bought from the shah of Iran for nearly half a million dollars!
The actor takes his roles very seriously as well apparently since
he hired an "on set drinking-consultant-poet" for his role in
Leaving Las Vegas to help him portray an alcoholic.
But he's not entirely selfish! He proposed to actress Patricia
Arquette on the first day they met back in 1987. Naturally the
actress declined and Nicolas offered to go on "a quest to prove
hislove."
Patricia challenged him to bring her an autograph from Catcher in
the Rye author JD Salinger, a "Bob's Big Boy" statue and a Tibetan =
wedding dress. Nicolas found all of these items for her, but she
still wouldn't marry him until 1995. They ended up divorcing 6
years later.

Britney Spears Weighs In on Lip-Synching Flap...
Despite a recent flap over alleged lip-synching at a concert in
Australia, Britney Spears isn't letting the media storm deter
her from what matters most: her fans.
"I hear there is a lot of controversy in the media about my show," =
Britney said in a statement. "Some reporters have said they love
it and some don't. I came to Australia for my fans!"
While scrutiny about whether or not Britney's singing would be
live or pre-recorded arose last week, it was actually report of
fans walking out of her concert that put the singer on the
defensive.
"It's the biggest lie I've ever heard," Britney's tour promoter
Paul Dainty told The Australian about the reports. "I'm so angry.
We can take heat if there's something wrong and people can review
shows badly, that's something you have to live with, but to say
people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication."
Meanwhile, the Musicians Union of Australia released its own
statement in response to the lip- synching controversy, saying
that concert-goers should be told if they're buying tickets to a
lip-synched performance.
"It's not right that people are going to the concert when they
are being misled," Terry Noone, the union's federal secretary,
told ABC News Online. "That's the issue. It's not about music,
it's about false advertising.?
Britney is set to perform three shows in Melbourne this week
before continuing across Australia for the rest of her "Circus"
tour, which will conclude at the end of November.

It's Tracy Morgan...
Obviously, people attending the show were hoping to see more of
Tracy's 30 Rock side, but instead, they were given filthy,
explicit sex jokes, jabs at the Presidential family, and a direct
hit at homosexuals. (Mr. Morgan thinks it's a "choice," just like

it was choice for everyone to ask for their money back from his
terrible show.)
At one point, he even started "mimicking explicit sex acts on
stage", which prompted the "continuous flow of people getting
up and leaving."
We appreciate that comedy has taken a turn for the raunchy, but
this idiot should have considered his audience before he got up
there! He was in Carnegie Hall!
