Hello Everyone...

You'll never guess who I suddenly became a fan of the other day. I wasjust surfin' the net, looking for great music videos to share with my loyal readers, when I stumbled upon this gem. I clicked on a link saying Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers were covering "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by the Beatles. It is my second favorite Beatles tune (second only to Dear Prudence, featured in a previous issue).

First of all, I've been a Tom Petty fan for a while - a habit sprouting from my mom's own CD player. But I knew right away that this was not merely Tom Petty - he is joined by the legendary Jeff Lynne of ELO, Dhanni Harrison (George Harrison's son) and Prince. If you are wondering where he was the first half of the video, don't worry - he more than makes up for it as the featured soloist. Besides When Doves Cry I had never heard a Prince song before...but it looks like I'm officially a fan now. Enjoy this clip!
