*-- How to Get Thicker Eyelashes --*
Thick, full eyelashes are what every woman wants, but naturally thick and full eyelashes are rarely what women naturally have. We use a number of different products to try and get those thick eyelashes, but it can be a real pain. Here are some ways to make your eyelashes look thicker and longer, each offering their own pros and cons.

Volumizing and Lash Lengthening Mascara

Mascara is the first choice that women make when they want to have thicker eyelashes. Mascara is easy to use, relatively inexpensive compared to other options, and it will make an immediate and noticeable difference. The only problem is, once the mascara comes off at the end of the day, you're back to having thin, sparse-looking lashes. Or, in some cases, mascara will not even give you those fuller lashes that you want! Any mascaras that promise to help "grow" your lashes also tend to be ineffective.



False or Fake Eyelashes

Fake eyelashes are another line of defense women use to create the illusion of having long, thick eyelashes. You can buy fake eyelashes in a number of different lengths and textures, some even having glitter or decals applied to the eyelashes or the lash line.

Fake eyelashes certainly will give you that thick eyelash look, but much like mascara it is only a temporary solution. The glue that is used to apply the fake eyelashes can also cause irritation or even allergic reactions, especially if the eyelashes are being glued on every single day. Some women also have a very troublesome time applying the fake eyelashes to their eyelids (it does take quite the steady hand). If you do choose to use fake eyelashes, bring them out only on special occasions.

Vaseline

An old trick to making your eyelashes look thicker is using Vaseline. Vaseline makes your eyelashes look fuller and longer by accentuating their length and deepening their color, clumping them together so that they look thicker, and the "shine" of the Vaseline on the lashes gives greater attention to the natural length of your eyelashes.

As with the other products, Vaseline is only a temporary solution to the problem. It is not long lasting, and at the end of the day you will still have thin eyelashes.



Eyelash Thickening Products

There are a number of different eyelash thickening products on the market these days, each promising to stimulate the growth of your eyelashes. The idea is that these products stimulate growth from the root of the lash follicle, and that they also condition the lashes as they grow, thus making them stronger and more durable.

If you are looking into using one of these products, do be wary about what you choose. A lot of these sorts of products are gimmicky and will make zero difference for your lashes. Talk to a dermatologist about what he or she would recommend, and read internet reviews (try reviewing message boards rather than articles for genuine reviews) to help determine what products are actually worth your time and money.
