Here's the Scoop....

Crystal Bowersox, the American Idol runner-up, is engaged to
musician Brian Walker and they plan to tie the knot next
month!

It's the first marriage for Crystal, who has a son, Tony, 1 ½,
from a previous relationship. She is currently recording her
debut album.

As her career takes off, her love life has also been on fast-
forward.

Just last May, she famously broke up with her then-boyfriend
hours before the final performance night. She said the split
was mutual but that she drew on her raw emotions while
singing a moving rendition of Patty Griffin's "Up to the
Mountain."

Crystal went on to become the judge's favorite, but Americans
voted for Lee DeWyze in the finale.

Lindsay Lohan Plans to Return to Rehab...

Although she relapsed just weeks after checking out of UCLA
inpatient rehab on Aug. 24, Lindsay Lohan is serious about
her recovery, a source close to the actress says.

"She will step up her treatment and do more than what she was
previously ordered to do," says the source, adding that she
plans to voluntarily check herself back into rehab in the
coming days.

Lindsay was released from a Lynwood, Calif., jail late Friday
night after winning an appeal to be granted bail following a
failed drug test.

For now, Lindsay has been ordered to wear a SCRAM alcohol-
monitoring bracelet and must avoid places "where alcohol
is the chief item of sale."

She faces a probation violation hearing on Oct. 22, where she
could potentially face more jail time for the positive drug
test in her ongoing DUI case.

Melissa Rycroft Gets 'Conflicting Report' on Sex of Her Baby...

From DWTS to The Bachelor, Melissa Rycroft is no stranger to
shocking news. But the mom-to-be has possibly the biggest
surprise of her life waiting: finding out the sex of her baby.

"We got our first report, got all excited and then we went back
a few weeks later and it was a conflicting report," Melissa
said at the Juno Baby Celebrity Launch in New York City. "We're
not sure, hopefully in the next week or two we'll get 100
percent confirmation."

And the upcoming arrival, due in February, isn't the only thing
Melissa has to look forward to. She recently moved to a new
Dallas home with husband Tye Strickland and is already taking
time for her baby.

"It's still crazy for me to be entering this world of 'Mommywood,'
" she said. "It's exciting and it's surreal and it's a fun new
world to be in."

Another thing besides work that's taking a backseat? Melissa's
rigorous workouts. "It's limiting what you can do," she said
of being pregnant. "The kiddo definitely tells you when
they're tired and when they don't want you to work out."

Meanwhile, Tye has been doing whatever he can to make Melissa as
comfortable as possible with back and foot rubs. He's also good
at giving sweet compliments. Says Melissa: "He tells me I look
skinny every day!"

Segway Company Owner Accidentally Dies Riding Segway over Cliff...

The 62-year-old businessman was pulled from the River Wharfe, in
Yorkshire, England, according to police reports, and a Segway-like
vehicle was also recovered at the scene.

According to a report in British newspaper the Telegraph, Heselden,
who was known as Jimi, was discovered by a passerby after
apparently falling from a cliff above the river. Police do not
believe the death to be suspicious.

Heselden was worth about £166 million. He was a former miner who
made his fortune from his company, Hesco Bastion, which developed
a wire cage water containment system which was used to control
floods and used in military defense.

He was also heralded for his charity work, including the British
veterans' charity, Help for Heroes.

The Segway, a motorized scooter, is controlled by the direction
the rider leans. It used gyroscopes to stay upright. The device
was invented by Dean Kamen, who sold his company to Heselden
earlier this year.

*-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-

This Funnyman jumped at the chance to star in 2002 thrillers
"One Hour Photo" and "Insomnia" after years of starring in
family-friendly films...

It's Robin Williams...

Robin was the star in many hit 1990s kid movies, including
"Jumanji" and "Mrs. Doubtfire," but he admits he was
growing tired of the roles he was being offered, and was
delighted when he got the chance to turn nasty for the
two projects.

He tells Britain's Time Out magazine, "It's very hard to
convince people to offer you something else. I wasn't
getting offered (serious) roles! When I got offered them
I said right away, 'I'll do 'Insomnia,' I'll do 'One Hour
Photo.'' It was so freeing!

"As Anthony Hopkins said once, playing evil is seductive
because you can explore behavior that in real life you'd
do prison time for. Most nasty f**kers are very charming."
