Lizzy Caplan engaged to English actor Tom Riley
The 34-year-old American actress and 35-year-old English actor got engaged in May in New York, Caplan's rep told news outlets after the star was spotted wearing a diamond ring Friday.

Caplan and Riley met in January 2015 while the actress was filming in London and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Prague Opera Ball this past February. Caplan was open to having children when she spoke to Elle Canada in 2014 but dismissed traditional gender roles.

"I don't want it to be an assumption that I will be the one to stay at home and raise the kids," she told the magazine. "I really want kids, and I want to be fully involved in their lives, but I don't want to sacrifice my own goals to be a mother."

"I actually romanticize the idea of a stay-at-home dad," the star revealed. "Partly because I think that's a very sexy thing, but also because if there are two working actors and both of them get a job and they have a baby, the woman is going to stay with the baby. I see it all the time. It just seems very unfair."

Caplan is known for playing Janis Ian in Mean Girls and Casey Klein on Party Down. She presently portrays Virginia Johnson Masters of Sex, which will return for a fourth season Sept. 11 on Showtime.

Riley, meanwhile, played Leonardo Da Vinci on the Starz series Da Vinci's Demons. The actor will star on the new Amazon Prime drama The Collection with Mamie Gummer.

LOOSE LIPS:
"If I'm really honest, man, I think I'm too old for that. I can't be running around in cars and ladies and martinis - who wants to do that? It sounds terrible!"
--Idris Elba, on whether he's cut out to play James Bond, to Good Morning America

??? Guess Who ???

Which singer and actor will play Lucifer on 'Supernatural'?

Rick Springfield is headed for long-running CW series Supernatural.

Springfield, 66, confirmed as much on Twitter after the show's executive producers announced the news Sunday at San Diego Comic-Con.

"I'll be playing Lucifer in 'Supernatural' @cw_spn Season 12," the star tweeted that evening.

Executive producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb had revealed Springfield will appear in the first few episodes of the new season. Lucifer, who possessed Castiel's (Misha Collins) body in Season 11, will move to a rock star (Springfield) in Season 12.

"You need a really strong vessel ... like Castiel," Singer said. "The first vessel that [Lucifer] feels comfortable with is a rock star who's a little bit on the down side who's trying to come back."

Dabb told fans they cast Springfield because they wanted a real musician who could also act. The producer said Springfield was "really great" in Ricki and the Flash and True Detective Season 2.

Supernatural Season 12 will premiere Oct. 13. The series stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, who travel across the country hunting supernatural creatures.

Springfield played Dr. Irving Pitlor on True Detective and Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital. The singer is known for such hits as "Jessie's Girl" and "Affair of the Heart" and last released the album Rocket Science in February.
