Good morning,

For those who are environmentally minded it is important to
know what is environmentally friendly versus what is merely
"not toxic." For example; a lot of material, including many
kinds of plastic, will readily degrade, but not necessarily
biodegrade.

smaller and smaller pieces). This is largely what the great
Pacific garbage patch is made up of.


* Biodegradable
A material that breaks down with the assistance of micro-
organisms, eventually returning to its original organic
components.
