Lindsay Lohan charged in New York City hit-and-run crash

Actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested on Wednesday for leaving the scene of an accident after she struck a pedestrian on her way into a hotel in lower Manhattan, police said. Lohan's latest brush with the law started shortly before 2:30 a.m. when she drove her black 2010 Porsche Cayenne SUV into an alley between the Maritime Hotel and Dream Hotel on West 16th Street. Lohan's vehicle clipped a 34-year-old man, police said without elaborating. She got out of the car and entered the Dream Hotel. "She was involved in a hit and run," a police spokeswoman said. Lohan, 26, was arrested when she left the hotel a short time later, charged with a misdemeanor and released. The man, who said his knee was injured, was in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital, police said. Lohan has been trying to make a comeback after a string of legal and personal troubles, including stints in jail, rehab and court. She was released in March from almost five years of formal probation stemming from a 2007 drunken driving and cocaine possession arrest.


Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada are officially divorced

A judge in Florida signed off on the divorce early this morning... one month after Evelyn filed for divorce from the NFL star. As we previously reported, Chad initially didn't want to sign off on the split... and waited until last week before finally accepting reality and submitting divorce papers of his own. But Evelyn claimed the marriage was irretrievably broken after he allegedly headbutted her in the face during an argument over a condom receipt she found in his car. Chad has since had Evelyn face tatted on his leg and insists he will eventually repair the relationship.

Hopper's daughter inherits $2.85M

Dennis Hopper's 9-year-old daughter has been awarded $2.85 million in cash and property worth $600,000 from the Hollywood film star's estate. Hopper died of complications from prostate cancer in in 2010. He was 74. TMZ said Tuesday court documents show the "Easy Rider" and "Apocalypse Now" actor provided for his youngest child Galen by instructing his executors to set up a trust for her. Hopper was in the middle of divorcing his wife Victoria Duffy, the child's mother, at the time of his death. Duffy attempted to claim part of the late actor's estate, but was unsuccessful due to a pre-nuptial agreement. TMZ said Duffy will have no control over the money in her daughter's trust. Hopper also had three adult children from previous relationships. The celebrity news website did not say what, if anything, they inherited after their father's death.


LL Cool J to host Grammys concert

Hip-hop icon and actor LL Cool J is to serve as host of "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! -- Countdown to Music's Biggest Night" in Nashville, CBS said. This marks the fifth consecutive time LL Cool J will serve as emcee of the event. Maroon 5 is the first act announced to perform at the Dec. 5 show at the Bridgestone Arena. The hour-long telecast will feature the announcement of nominations in several categories as well as performances by past Grammy winners and/or nominees. Additional performers and presenters will be announced shortly, CBS said. Grammy Awards are to be presented to winners Feb. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Both the nominations concert and the awards ceremony are to air on CBS.

The actress and husband Mark Wilkerson welcomed son Tucker at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, her rep tells PEOPLE. He weighed in at 8 lbs., 5 oz. Tucker, whose middle name is still being chosen, joins Braydon, 4, and Mason, 6 at home.
