Here's the Scoop...
I started a new show. I caught 'Vice Principals' on HBO; it premiered over the weekend. It stars Danny McBride ('Eastbound & Down') and Walton Goggins ('Justified') as vice principals in a childishly desperate battle to become the principal of their beloved North Jackson High School.
I was a fan of both 'Eastbound & Down' and 'Justified', but I'm an even bigger fan of Danny McBride and Walton Goggins. The pilot episode was harshly funny and shows great potential for the series. I really enjoyed it and now I can't wait for new episodes.
If you were a fan of 'Eastbound & Down' then 'Vice Principals' is going to be right up your alley. But, if you're going in cold, be warned, this show is rated TV-MA for language and so on and so forth.
Be Well,
Steve

Leslie Jones fights back against racist attacks received after 'Ghostbusters' premiere
Comedian and actress Leslie Jones has been the subject of a hate campaign on Twitter following the release of the new Ghostbusters movie this weekend, besieged with racial and misogynist comments on Twitter.
Jones is fighting back, retweeting many of the most egregious comments she received and Ghostbusters director Paul Feig immediately came to her defense, starting the hashtag #LoveForLeslieJ, according to Hollywood Reporter.
"Leslie Jones is one of the greatest people I know," he tweeted Monday night. "Any personal attacks against her are attacks against us all. #LoveForLeslieJ @Lesdoggg"
The movie has attracted a volume of online trolls attacking it for having an all-female cast for its main roles. And there has been a concerted effort to make it the most hated YouTube video in history, the Guardian reported.
Despite the abusive backlash, Ghostbusters has received mostly positive reviews. Still, the abuse against Jones has continued.
"Exposing I hope y'all go after them like they going after me," she tweeted Monday afternoon. She then continued to post the abuse leveled at her.
Someone even created a fake twitter account and posted racist, sexist tweets as if it were Jones posting them.
"I'm not stupid to not know racism exists," Jones said. "And I know it will probably live on way after me. But we have to make people take responsibility for the hate they spew. Stop letting people get away with being ignorant.
"And for all the 'don't stoop to their level people' it's way past that. So please have a seat. Don't tell me how to react. Cause I have every right to be offended and [expletive]."
Even after exposing the abusers by retweeting their remarks, the hate didn't slow. Hours later, Jones posted "I feel like I'm in a personal hell. I didn't do anything to deserve this. It's just too much."
She also called out Twitter for doing little to help.
Twitter responded: "This type of abusive behavior is not permitted on Twitter, and we've taken action on many of the accounts reported to us by both Leslie and others.
"We rely on people to report this type of behavior to us but we are continuing to invest heavily in improving our tools and enforcement systems to prevent this kind of abuse."
LOOSE LIPS:
"Don't climb down from where your bar is set. Demand the respect, love, care, honor, queendom that you were given and born into this world deserving. Second thing, don't be afraid to love. Love is beautiful thing. Love is a freeing thing, and you should always, always, always dare to open you heart and step into it."

Which 'Modern Family' star blew out his voice playing an animated llama in 'Ice Age: Collision Course'?
Diane Kruger, Joshua Jackson split after 10 years
Hollywood couple Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson have decided to call it quits after spending 10 years together.
"Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson have decided to separate and remain friends," a rep for the pair confirmed to People magazine.
Kruger, 40 and Jackson, 38 were first linked together in 2006 following the actress' divorce from her husband of five years, director Guillaume Canet.
The couple, who were often spotted out together around New York City, have recently been seen apart as Kruger attended the premiere of her latest film, The Infiltrator without him. Kruger also celebrated her recent birthday alone.
The couple who were engaged in 2014, never formally tied the knot due to not being religious. "I don't feel any more or less committed to Diane for not having stood in front of a priest and had a giant party," the former Dawson's Creek star said at the time.

Which 'Modern Family' star blew out his voice playing an animated llama in 'Ice Age: Collision Course'?
Jesse Tyler Ferguson says he really went for it when creating Shangri Llama, the wisdom-spewing, yoga-loving llama he plays in the animated movie Ice Age: Collision Course.
"This was my first time doing an animated movie, so I just sort of jumped into the deep end of the pool. I was offered the role, I think, from just people seeing [me in] Modern Family," Ferguson told UPI at a recent New York press conference.
"I don't know? Why did you give me this part?" he asked director Michael Thurmeier.
"Because we wanted a really unique voice," replied the filmmaker, who was seated beside him on the panel.
"Well, thank you, kind sir! ... My first day was over a year ago. I think we just sort of jumped in and there was maybe some fine-tuning. I did blow out my voice in my very first recording session. We had to cut that short," Ferguson recalled. "My voice was not sounding like it was when I first started, so I had to take a few days off and come back and finish, but I just sort of jumped into the deep end. I don't know. I didn't really have that much of a process. I thought, 'Since this is my first time doing this, I'm just going to put it out there.' And it seemed to work."
"He was really brave. I mean, it's not easy," Thurmeier chimed in. "These guys are really good at what they do. ... I'm sure you probably thought we were crazy as we're trying to describe the scene with this bendy llama in this crystal world."
"Yeah, without visuals, you're like, 'OK, you're crazy, but I'll jump in,'" Ferguson agreed.
Featuring the voice talents of Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, Keke Palmer, Denis Leary, John Legizamo and Wanda Sykes, Ice Age: Collision Course opens nationwide Friday. The fifth installment in the film franchise follows the iconic pre-historic creatures as they try to survive extinction from an impending asteroid collision with Earth. The Shangri Llama is a new character they meet on their travels.
