Rosie reveals she's been married for two monthsIf anything makes you realize that life is too short to go for what you want, it's a health scare. And that's exactly what happened to Rosie O'Donnell and fiance Michelle Rounds after Rounds was diagnosed with rare desmoids tumors, which can be life threatening. Though the couple had planned an August wedding, the two quietly married shortly before Rounds underwent her first round of surgery back in June. The couple had kept the fact they were legally wed a secret from public until Monday, when O'Donnell, 50, shared the news on her blog, writing: 'we married in private before her surgery just the 2 of us when we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish thankful for the love and support so many have given us during these trying times'. O'Donnell has also recently dealt with some medical troubles of her own, revealing earlier this month that she suffered a heart attack and discovered her coronary artery was 99% blocked, prompting her to get a stent inserted.
Friday Is Robin Roberts Last Day at 'GMA'Robin Roberts will begin her medical leave from 'Good Morning America' on Friday so she can undergo bone marrow transplant surgery. Earlier this year, Roberts announced she was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) a disease that attacks the blood and bone marrow. Roberts says her sister is the bone marrow donor explaining, '[She] is a perfect match and she's been spending a lot of time with me. She's been taking shots to help her prepare.' Roberts says the procedure is scheduled for Tuesday and says she plans to return to work following her recovery. 'I know I'm going to have a job when I come back.' 'GMA' is planning to use a roster of star-studded subs to fill in for Roberts during her absence.
Lady Gaga said to record 'Artpop' nakedLady Gaga has been recording her upcoming 'Artpop' album naked because she says it makes her voice sound better, a British tabloid reported. 'Gaga has really taken to the idea of naked recording,' The Sun quoted a source as saying. 'She has been recording vocals while she's been completely starkers. She thinks it makes her voice sound better.' The album is set to be released in early 2013. Lady Gaga, who is recording the album during her Born This Way Ball tour, sent out a nude photo of herself over Twitter last month sitting in a chair with her legs and arms protecting her modesty. The Sun said, 'Lady Gaga loves getting naked so much she should join a rugby team.' Rugby players are notorious for getting drunk and naked. The singer is to perform at London's 82,000-seat Twickenham Stadium Sept. 8-9. The stadium is the home of English rugby. Lady Gaga also plans to make an in-store appearance at Harrods Oct. 7, London's famed department store said. The event is open to the public.
Betty White: Lucky to be working at 90U.S. actress Betty White, 90, said she doesn't owe her longevity to healthy eating habits because hot dogs and Red Vines are among her favorite foods. The comedic actress said she feels 'so good and energetic' and feels lucky to still be working at her age. 'There's no spare time, so I'm active all the time. I think that forces you to stay well. To be 90 and still be working -- that's what I wouldn't have expected. I'm the luckiest broad,' she told People magazine. 'I should follow better eating health rules,' the 'Hot in Cleveland' star said. 'But hot dogs and Red Vines and potato chips and french fries are my favorite foods.' Red Vines are California-produced red licorice. While White may not actively hit the gym, she said she still gets enough exercise. 'I have a two-story house and a very bad memory,' she joked. 'I'm up and down those stairs all the time.'
