Lady Gaga lands role in 'Machete' sequel
Lady Gaga has landed her first movie role as a character in Robert Rodriguez's 'Machete' sequel. The pop superstar will portray a character called La Chameleon in 'Machete Kills.' Writer and director Rodriguez took to Twitter on Thursday to announce the casting coup, posting: 'I just finished working with Lady Gaga on 'Machete Kills,' she kicked so much a**! Holy Smokes. Blown away!' The filmmaker then posted a link to her character in a poster for the new film. Lady Gaga also tweeted about the film set experience, writing, 'Yes it's true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing 'Machete Kills' by (Robert Rodriguez) I'm so excited!!! Ah! Filming was insane.' The film features returning cast mates Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez and newcomers Zoe Saldana, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen and more.

Jennifer Lopez was treated to a surprise birthday party on a yacht on Tuesday to celebrate her turning 43. The singer and actress was blindfolded as her dancer boyfriend Casper Smart guided her onto the luxury Utopia II Superyacht in New York, where she was greeted by guests including her 4-year-old twins Emme and Max, and her mother, Guadalupe. The birthday girl was photographed smiling in delight after she was presented with a large cake in the shape of a pink teddy adorned with the message, 'Happy birthday BEAR!', in reference to the nickname Lopez shares with her beau. Earlier that day, Smart tweeted his birthday wishes to Lopez, writing, 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEAR IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE U.. @JLo.'

Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend, who is currently dating event planner Pasquale Rotella, has filed adoption papers and is due to welcome a child from Africa or South Korea in the coming months. She tells In Touch magazine, 'I've started the adoption process. I really want to be a mommy.' And while the blonde beauty, who stars in popular Las Vegas act Peepshow, hasn't ruled out getting pregnant in the future, she does not want to sacrifice her career just yet. She adds, 'I love performing in the theater, and you can't really do that when you're pregnant.'
