Here's the Scoop...

Seen any good movies lately? Looking forward to seeing any of the upcoming theatrical releases? Or should I just see 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' for the third time?

Here's a few movies coming out in the next few weeks... and for entertainment purposes I'll include my interest level.

Kung Fu Panda 3 - Only if it's as good as Panda Express

The Finest Hours - Could be the finest hours, could be the mediocre hours, or the lame hours. I'll be the just of that.

Fifty Shades of Black - I don't want to see fifty shades of anything

Hail, Caesar! - Hail, Yes! It's the Coen Bros.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - I'm sure that this movie is causing Jane Austin to spin in her grave... and rise out of it and then shamble along hungrily in search of the punks that wrote the book and made the movie.

Well, I hope this doesn't lessen your desire to get to the theater and enjoy the movie-going experience. Or just wait until the movie "dump month" is over. It's gonna be a long month.

Be Well,
Steve

Kit Harington insists Jon Snow is really, really dead
Kit Harington says Jon Snow is very much dead.

The 29-year-old English actor insisted in an interview with BBC News on Tuesday that the Game of Thrones character had been killed. Snow was stabbed and left for dead in the Season 5 finale, but fans remain hopeful he'll return in Season 6.

"Whatever happens in the next season will be very exciting, but Jon Snow is dead I'm afraid," the star said. "I think [speculation] is great for the show, but [fans] shouldn't get their hopes up about anything because Game of Thrones is very good at dashing hopes."

Harington previously told Entertainment Weekly he's "not coming back next season," with HBO later confirming, "Jon Snow is indeed dead." The actor said in a different interview with Digital Spy this week that the character had died.

"I was hoping that there would be an outcry of 'Why?' and 'Oh God, no, no' rather than 'Thank God," the star said of fan reaction to Jon's death. "People didn't want me to die, but he's dead. So there you go, everyone has to get used to it."

"It's brilliant, the fact that people care about this TV show and what happens to the people they love or hate in it, is a special thing," he added. "I've got nothing to complain about, put it that way. If they care about it and I get asked a lot about it, it means that people hold it dear to their hearts."

Game of Thrones Season 6 will premiere Apr. 24 on HBO. Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell, previewed problems for her character in November, saying Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) will be the least of Margaery's troubles.

Harington will star instead in a production of Doctor Faustus at the Duke of York's Theatre in April. The actor is also slated for The Death and Life of John F. Donovan with Jessica Chastain and Brimstone with Dakota Fanning.

LOOSE LIPS:
"There's going to be children who are gonna sit down and watch this show and they're not gonna be represented."
--Will Smith, on why he and wife Jada won't attend the 2016 Oscars in the wake of the show's lack of diversity in its nominations, to Good Morning America

Paramount acquires 'Little House On the Prairie' film reboot
A film based on the popular Little House On the Prairie television series is reportedly in its beginning stages at Paramount Pictures.

The studio picked up the movie adaption recently in turnaround after Sony Pictures dropped it in 2012 due to budget concerns, Variety reports.

The Hollywood Reporter notes director Sean Durkin, who helmed Martha Marcy May Marlene in 2011, is set to direct the project from a script written by Abi Morgan.

Paramount has yet to announce any attached actors to the project, based on the popular television show airing between 1974 and 1983.

Little House On the Prairie, the television series, was loosely based on a series of children's books by author Laura Ingalls Wilder. Actress Melissa Gilbert starred in the original series as the main character, Laura Wilder.

Which entertainment mogul earned $12.5m after a single tweet?

Oprah Winfrey earned about $12.5 million after posting a single tweet promoting Weight Watchers Tuesday.

Market reports say Weight Watchers shares increased 19 percent within an hour after Winfrey tweeted about eating bread every day and losing 26 pounds on the program.

"Eat bread. Lose Weight. Whaaatttt?" Winfrey, who reportedly owns 6.4 million shares -- about 10 percent -- of the company, tweeted alongside a promotional video in which she explains the joy of being able to eat what she likes on the Weight Watchers program.

In total, USA Today reports the OWN network creator earned $19.2 million over the course of the day following her timely tweet. Winfrey first invested in the company last year, making $70 million in 24 hours following the announcement.
