Here's the Scoop...
If you're reading this right after it mailed then the Oscars are currently in full swing. I'm not going to watch it, but I'm rooting for 'Mad Max: Fury Road' to win every award. Why? Well, because it was film-making at its finest, in every aspect.
'The Revenant' will probably win a bunch of stuff because they filmed it outside in the cold. You know, because that's what makes for a good movie, weather conditions. Story, characters, writing, and other important aspects don't matter, just that everyone was cold and miserable. Oscars all around!
Come on, Mad Max!
Be Well,
Steve

Kelly Clarkson moves 'American Idol' judges to tears with 'Piece By Piece'
Kelly Clarkson's return to the American Idol stage ended with the judges and even some contestants in tears.
The original Idol winner sang the emotional song "Piece By Piece" on Thursday night, the lyrics at times prompting her to pull away from the mic to regain composure.
The tune, written about an absent father, included lines such as, "I begged you to want me but you didn't want to," and, "Piece by piece he restored my faith that a man can be kind, that a father could stay."
Judge Keith Urban was visibly moved by the song as he stood to applaud her at the end of the performance, tears in his eyes.
The rest of the judges, including Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Seacrest and Harry Connick, Jr., contestants and audience members followed suit, eventually chanting Clarkson's name.
"Super pregnant and hormonal," Clarkson explained about her raw stage presence. "I'm pregnant, and it's nostalgic, and I can't believe it's the last season. I'm really sorry I just bawled."
The soon-to-be mother of two said she wrote the heartstring-tugging tune while she was pregnant with her first child, River Rose, with husband Brandon Blackstock.
Last November, Clarkson released a heartwarming music video for the song. It features then-17-month-old River Rose. On Facebook, the singer explained the song was the "happy ending to 'Because Of You.""
LOOSE LIPS:
"I watched the pilot for the first time in 20 years. And I laughed my ass off. I thought it was really funny. I forgot all the stuff; I mean, I walk in and say [to Danny], 'Your baby's a pig.'"

'Bones' to return for 12th and final season
Bones was renewed for a 12th and final season Thursday.
Fox co-chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman said the season, which will consist of 12 episodes, will bring the crime drama to "a meaningful and satisfying conclusion."
"We couldn't be more thrilled to have another season, so we can give the show, characters and fans the end they so richly deserve," showrunners Jonathan Collier and Michael Petersen added.
"Also knowing there is a Season 12, we can now write the most rewarding Season 11 finale possible -- one we hope will leave our fans excited for what's to come in this final season of Bones," the pair said.
Bones premiered on Fox in 2005 and will return from midseason break Apr. 14. The series follows forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI special agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), who cooperate to solve murder cases.
"This is for the fans! Thank you to everyone at Fox and, of course, Dana and Gary -- for all your support," Boreanaz said. "I couldn't have done it without you, Emily!"
"As sad as it is to know something you have loved doing for 11 years will be ending, I am so glad we will have the opportunity to end it well," Deschanel added in a tweet. "Thank you for the most loyal, dedicated and kind fans in the world! We couldn't have done any of this without you!"
Bones is loosely based on the life of real-life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, who co-produces the show with Deschanel and Boreanaz. The series is the longest-running one-hour drama produced by 20th Century Fox Television.

Which former model blasts the Sports Illustrated full-figured swimsuit cover?
Former model Cheryl Tiegs blasted the new swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated because she thinks cover model Ashley Graham's full figure is not healthy.
The magazine's annual swimsuit issue took a different approach this year, using three different models -- fighter Rhonda Rousey, model Hailey Clauson and Graham -- as an attempt to empower women and show there is no single beautiful body type.
But SI swimsuit veteran of the 1970s and 1980s Tiegs told E! News on Wednesday that putting Graham on the cover was promoting unhealthy living.
"I don't like that we're talking about full-figured women because it's glamorizing them because your waist should be smaller than 35" inches, Tiegs said at the 13th annual Global Green USA Pre-Oscar Party. "That's what Dr. Oz said, and I'm sticking to it. I don't think it's healthy. Her face is beautiful. Beautiful. But I don't think it's healthy in the long run."
Graham was new to the cover this year and represents a changing view of women's beauty in American culture.
"I've got plenty of friends [of all sizes] and different shapes and everything," Graham said. "And I don't want any of them to feel like they aren't 'real women.'"
Graham posted her cover to Instagram last week with the caption: "Truly speechless!!! This cover is for every woman who felt like she wasn't beautiful enough because of her size. You can do and achieve anything you put your mind to. Thank you so much to the entire @si_swimsuit team! I'm so excited to be a part of your family. I love you all!!!"
