Actress/presenter Maria Menounos has been secretly nursing a broken rib as she competes on reality show "Dancing with the Stars," according to a report.
The "Extra" correspondent has been in intense rehearsals for the series with her professional partner Derek Hough, and they scored 21 points for their Cha-Cha-Cha during the debut episode last week.
But Maria has been hiding a painful secret - New York Post gossip column Page Six reports she broke a rib during a recent session.
A source says, "She has been in excruciating pain for the past few weeks during rehearsals, but she is staying strong and working through it. She refuses to give up."

Kardashian reconsiders lawsuit after flour prank...
Kim Kardashian is having second thoughts about pursuing legal action against the prankster who showered her in flour on the red carpet.
The socialite was left red-faced and covered in white powder after a bag of flour was dumped on her while she was chatting to reporters at a glamorous West Hollywood event.
After the incident, Kim admitted she had no plans to sue her attacker as she has a number of ongoing legal battles, including disputes over a weight-loss drug and a hair removal product she endorses.
She quipped, "Don't I have one too many lawsuits going on right now? Do you think I really need to add another one?"
But now she is seriously reconsidering pressing charges.
She reveals, "I said earlier no I wasn't (going to lodge a complaint). I am just going to think about it, because I don't want someone to think they can really get away with that. So we are going to handle that."
"I was laughing it off earlier and, you know, I think that is the only thing I knew how to do at the time. But I just think it is such a shame that someone like that... would ruin an event, or attempt to ruin an event...
"Now that I think about it and had some time to digest it, I think, 'What if that was some other substance? What if that person had a dangerous weapon?' It's scary. And what's even scarier is this woman acted as if she was a part of the press. She just came out of nowhere!... I'm gonna definitely deal with it because it is not acceptable."
Kim was promoting her new perfume, True Reflection, at the charity launch to benefit the women's organization Dress For Success.
Tori Spelling pregnant again...
Actress-turned-reality star Tori Spelling is pregnant again - just five months after giving birth to her third child.
The former "Beverly Hills, 90210 star" and her husband Dean McDermott welcomed daughter Hattie in October and now they will add a fourth kid to their family later this year.
Announcing the news with a post on her official website on Friday, she writes, "Dean, Liam, Stella, Hattie, and I are beyond thrilled to announce that another little McDermott is on the way! We feel truly blessed that another angel has found us. Love, Tori xoxo."
The notice was accompanied by a personal snap of Spelling's growing baby bump.
The couple, which wed in May, 2006, is already parents to Liam, five, Stella, three, and Hattie, five months.

Singer/actress Hilary Duff has given birth to a baby boy.
The star and her husband, retired ice hockey player Mike Comrie, welcomed their first child on Tuesday.
Breaking the news to fans on Twitter.com, Hilary writes, "Welcome to the World Luca Cruz Comrie! Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy.
"We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world. He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well."
The couple wed in 2010.
Spears back in court for conservatorship hearing...
Britney Spears returned to court on Thursday for a progress hearing in her ongoing conservatorship.
The singer's father Jamie was placed in charge of her legal and business affairs in 2008 following the singer's much publicized breakdown and hospitalization.
Spears' dad has continued to look after her estate and he joined his daughter in Los Angeles County Superior Courthouse on Thursday morning for a routine meeting with Judge Reva Goetz.
However, the courtroom was sealed at the request of the pop star's attorney to discuss Spears' "medical issues and financials" and the hearing continued behind closed doors.
Her legal team is working with Jamie Spears to come up with a plan to gradually transfer control of the estate back to the singer as she prepares to wed her fiance Jason Trawick, according to reports.
Trawick, Spears' former agent, was also in court to support his future wife.
The star is reportedly due back in court in April.

The actress taped a segment for DeGeneres' program to promote new Snow White movie "Mirror Mirror," and the presenter played her first joke before Roberts had even sat down for the chat.
She crouched outside the redhead's dressing room and jumped up at her as she opened the door, prompting her to scream, "Oh my God! Am I the perfect person to scare or what?"
Speaking about the incident on the show, which airs on Friday, the actress explains, "It doesn't even come across how scared I was - it did not come across there and I changed (outfits) because I peed in my pants! I screamed like I was being mugged on a subway."
