Drew Barrymore's half-sister Jessica found dead in car

Jessica Barrymore was found dead Tuesday morning in National City, Calif. The 47-year-old is half-sister to actress Drew Barrymore and daughter to John Barrymore and Nina Wayne. Jessica's body was discovered inside her car around 6 a.m. by Marta Lopez. Lopez told ABC 10 News the vehicle was blocking her driveway, and she walked over to see if the woman behind the wheel needed help. Jessica was in the driver's seat and had an energy drink between her legs, but did not appear to be breathing and had dozens of white pills scattered on the passenger seat. Lopez then called police.
"Her car was parked right here around midnight," Oscar Sandoval added. "I thought she was sleeping or waiting for someone ... It's crazy. It's sad to see that."
The Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed they have Jessica Barrymore's body, whose date of birth, July 31, 1966, is the same as Drew's half-sister. The cause of death is currently unknown, but some speculate it may have been a suicide. Jessica would have turned 48 years old on Thursday.


Justin Bieber almost punched by Orlando Bloom in Ibiza

Orlando Bloom was not happy to run into Justin Bieber at Ibiza's Cipriani restaurant on Wednesday. In a video unveiled by TMZ, the Pirates of The Caribbean actor can be seen walking up to the Canandian pop star and throwing a punch at him. Bieber dodges the punch and his bodyguard steps in between the stars after the incident. The singer reportedly responded to Blooms swing by saying: "What's up bitch?" and making a comment about his ex wife Miranda Kerr. Bieber left the site soon after prompting restaurant attendees to start clapping.

Kiefer Sutherland responds to Freddie Prinze Jr.'s criticism

Kiefer Sutherland has responded to Freddie Prinze Jr.'s criticism. Prinze Jr. recently declared he had a "terrible" time with Sutherland on 24, and called the star "the most unprofessional dude in the world." Prinze Jr. portrayed Cole Ortiz on the show's eighth season, and said the experience was so bad he wanted to quit acting. A representative for Sutherland tells ABC News the negative comments came as a surprise. "Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze, Jr. more than 5 years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie's grievances," the rep said in response. "Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best." The 47-year-old actor starred as Jack Bauer on eight seasons of 24, and reprised the character in limited series 24: Live Another Day. He will star with father Donald Sutherland and Demi Moore in Forsaken later this year, while Prinze Jr. has since appeared on Psych, Bones and Witches of East End.


Katie Holmes may produce Annie Weatherwax's 'All We Had'

Katie Holmes may produce All We Had. The 35-year-old actress has optioned the rights to adapt Annie Weatherwax's novel All We Had for film. The book is scheduled for release August 5, and the movie would be Holmes' first project as producer. All We Had focuses on a mother, Rita, who has fallen on hard times, and her 13-year-old daughter, Ruthie. The pair are kicked out of their home and end up in small town Fat River, where Rita is able to secure a job at a diner. A number of quirky residents inhabit the city, and welcome mother and daughter to the town. It is unclear if Holmes would also star in the feature. The actress will appear in The Giver and Mania Days later this year, and Woman in Gold in 2015.
