Here's the Scoop....
So much for the slogan "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."
Unless it's amended to include, "Just don't do it on national television," which was the case Sunday night, when Justin Bieber delivered a hug and a kiss to Selena Gomez upon his being named Top New Artist at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.
While both parties have long played it coy whenever confronted about their relationship (even by so formidable an inquisitor as Ellen DeGeneres), there was no mistaking their being together Sunday... with his mother, Patricia Mallette, sitting next to them in the audience of the MGM Grand, chaperoning.
And while Justin thanked his mom and several others when he got his award, Selena's name did not happen to cross his lips, even though she had just planted a big one on them a few seconds before.

Schwimmer and Wife Welcome Baby Girl...
It's a girl for David Schwimmer!
The actor-director's wife, photographer Zoe Buckman, delivered their daughter Cleo Buckman Schwimmer on Sunday, May 8 in New York, his rep reveals.
David, 44, wed the London-born Zoe, 25, last June after dating since 2007.
Speaking about his desire to start a family, the former Friends star said he was eager to be a dad in due time.
"It will happen when it feels right," David said. "May be part of me is waiting for myself to slow down a little and be ready to stay put. I'm confident it's gonna happen."
David most recently directed Trust, starring Clive Owen and Catherine Keener, and will next be heard reprising his role as Melman in Madagascar 3.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively Hang Out in Italy...
The Cannes Film Festival is over, but Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively continued to hang out together in Europe.
The pair, who were spotted hugging on a yacht on the French Riviera during the festival last week, were seen again looking friendly in Portofino, Italy, on Sunday.
Blake, 23, and the newly single DiCaprio, 36, both wearing hats and sunglasses, went sightseeing and "seemed happy in each other's company," according to an observer. They were "laughing and walking" together.
No word on whether the outing was just for fun or had a business element to it. Last November, the two stepped out for dinner at The Lion in New York City, where they were reportedly talking about a movie project.
Leonardo and model Bar Refaeli confirmed their break-up earlier this month, while Blake split from her boyfriend, Penn Badgley, last year.
Reps for both Leonardo and Blake had no comment.
Russell Brand Booted from Japan...
Their Indian adventure was a dream. Japan? Not so much.
Katy Perry tweeted this weekend that her husband Russell Brand, who had flown in to see her perform, was deported from the country because of old legal problems there.
"So ... my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so. sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place #tokyodreamscrushed," wrote Katy.
She blamed the deportation on "priors from over 10 years ago."
Meanwhile, Russell, 35, posted a photo of himself in a stark white room and the message: "Planning escape from Japanese custody. It's bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick."
Katy performed Sunday in Nagoya, and has concerts lined up in Tokyo on Monday and Tuesday and Osaka on Thursday before returning to the U.S. for more tour dates in June.

Sara Rue Is Married...
Sara Rue and Kevin Price are man and wife.
The longtime couple tied the knot in a sunset ceremony overlooking the Pacific Oean at the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, California on Saturday.
Sara, 33, and Kevin, 35, exchanged vows under a chuppah in front of about 100 guests. The 20-minute hummingbird-themed ceremony included Jewish traditions, like the breaking of a glass.
"Guests looked very touched by all the love, and a few tears were even shed," says a guest.
Sara, who has lost over 50 lbs. in the past year, said before the ceremony that she was looking forward to indulging. A little bit... on the two wedding cakes made for the reception.
"I'll be having one of each," Sara, a Jenny Craig spokeswoman, said. "Tiny slivers!"
An onlooker reveals that the bride "looked stunning and beyond happy," during the ceremony. "After being pronounced husband and wife, the couple shared two long romantic kisses. The newly weds danced down the aisle together hand-in-hand to 'Everlasting Love' while guests cheered and clapped."
Jake Gyllenhaal taking legal action over photo...
Jake Gyllenhaal's lawyers are taking action against website bosses who posted a picture online that appears to depict the star in his underwear.
The photo shows the actor in tight white briefs and socks as he stretches on one leg in a pose resembling Grace Jones' stance on her "Island Life" album cover.
Jake's legal team has fired off letters to a number of websites, including Queerty.com and Buzzfeed.com, demanding that the photo is removed.
His attorneys write, "As anybody could tell from a cursory examination, this is a fake picture, in which our client's head has been pasted on the body of another person", adding that it portrays him "in a false light, violating his right of publicity and constituting a false designation of origin in violation of the Lanham Act."
But Gyllenhaal has a fight on his hands - chiefs at Queerty.com are refusing to remove the image until it is proved to be a fake: "We're keeping the photo up, since it hasn't been proven fake and because their letter bumped it from 'funny and cute' to 'actually newsworthy.'"
Victoria Beckham reveals birth details...
Victoria Beckham will give birth in America at the beginning of July, her representative has revealed.
The former Spice Girls star announced in January she was expecting her fourth child with soccer star husband David Beckham this summer.
And now reports suggest she has booked a Caesarean section on Independence Day, when she'll give birth to her first daughter.
Victoria's spokesperson has confirmed the child will be born in the U.S., but the stars are refusing to confirm the exact date in July, and the rep has dismissed reports the couple will name the newborn Atlanta.
She comments, "It is no secret that Victoria will be having her baby in the U.S. We will not be confirming the date although early July is correct.
"David and Victoria have a shortlist of names and once they have met their daughter then they will decide. Atlanta is not on that shortlist!"

Jessica had so much success with the meditative birthing message when her daughter Honor was born, she's planning for it again.
She tells talk host Ellen DeGeneres, "It's basically my husband takes me through sort of a meditation. So he's, like, saying, 'You're relaxed and you're floating on clouds while you're going through labor and your contractions.'
"He just sort of does a guided mediation. I'm just concentrating on breathing and staying relaxed because it's when you get tense that makes the whole labor worse and more painful.
"I actually did this with Honor... It is kind of a way to relax and know that the contraction will only last for so long. You just need to concentrate on the breathing and just the sound of his voice... Normally I want to strangle him but at that moment it's sort of calming and wonderful."
