*** A WORD FROM THE KITCHEN ***

Keep an eye on those checkout screens while you
watch your groceries pass by the scanner...it could
mean big savings for you. I never used to pay much
attention to individual items until recently when
some sale priced frozen shrimp came up double the
price should have been (and that's no cheap item to
begin with). Since I bought 2 I first assumed it was
the price for 2 but nope...those were big overcharges.
An honest mistake on the part of the store after much
ruckus about having to have the shelf and signs checked
and the line behind me became longer and longer I got
the item for free. From what I understand this kind of
thing happens often and many stores have this policy
where mistaken scans are given free since it helps
them keep things correct. So be on the lookout as
these litte things can sure add up!

Since I've got sweets on the brain I'm leaving off
this week on a sweet note with EASY CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES.
Watch out though, these smooth gems are pretty addicting.
As if I didn't have enough sweets for the holidays
and now we're seeing red for Valentine's Day all over.
(Hubby if you're reading don't forget I love the
Godiva truffles too those are heavenly! ;o)

Enjoy!

SWEET TRUFFLE TIPS:

Metallic candy wrappers or miniature muffin cup
liners make great holders. You can serve them,
in their holders, on a doily lined silver tray.
They also make perfect gifts. Place the truffles,
in their wrappers, in a pretty box. Close the
box and add a silk bow. This is one homemade gift
you'll know will be appreciated.
