Here's the Scoop....

Garth Brooks, who has been retired since 2000, has signed on
with the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas to perform at the Danny Gans
Theater beginning next year!

The country star is expected to perform for 16 weeks shortly
after New Year's. He's having press conferences today in both
Nashville and Vegas to announce further details.

Garth has sold more that 220 million albums worldwide since
his first album since 1989 and currently lives in Oklahoma
with his country singer wife Trisha Yearwood.

Wynn is expecting the shows to sell out very quickly!

No More Jon & Kate After November...

Our long national nightmare is finally over.

Jon & Kate Plus 8, which in recent months had become just about
as fun as reliving your parents' divorce, will stop filming new
episodes next month, according to the New York Post.

After Jon Gosselin, 32, forbade TLC from filming his and 34-year-
old estranged wife Kate's eight children for their show, the
network will try to squeeze out a couple remaining episodes from
existing footage before putting the show to rest.

Kate, who's previously said she relies on the show for her
income, and who says the kids have been crying since the film
crews left, hasn't commented. Neither has Jon, who said he put
the kibosh on the show because had an epiphany about the harm
the show was causing the family ? and not because he'd been
axed from a future version of the show to be called Kate Plus 8.

It's not clear whether TLC would restart the show should Jon
change his mind about filming the kids.

DNA Tests Clear Keanu Reeves...

Keanu Reeves can breathe a little easier! It turns out he's not
the father of a Canadian woman's children.

DNA tests conclusively disprove claims by Karen Sala that Keanu
fathered at least one of her four adult children.

Karen, 46, was seeking $150,000 per month in child support,
retroactive from 1988, and $3 million a month in spousal support
retroactive from 2006.

Keanu is still adamant he doesn't even know Karen.

Cruz Makes a Sex and the City Cameo...

The Sex and the City sequel just got a little more glamorous.

Along with the original fab four, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim
Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, Penélope Cruz and
Liza Minnelli are both appearing, along with Jason Lewis, who
reprises his role as Samantha's younger ex.

Despite previous reports, Cruz doesn't play herself in the
film, which is due to hit theaters next summer. For her cameo,
the Oscar-winner fills the designer shoes of a banker.

Cruz's character may spell trouble for Carrie Parker. Clad
in a sexy backless black dress, Cruz was spotted at New York
City's Empire Hotel earlier this week filming a scene in which
she gets a little too close to Mr. Big, played by Chris Noth.

Minnelli, meanwhile, filmed for three days on the Manhattan
set. When she wrapped, she broke into a rendition of "Every
Time I Say Goodbye" for the cast and crew.

"A total hush fell over the set. You could have heard a pin
drop, it was such a moving moment," says an on-set source.
"Everyone had goose bumps, tears. It was a really lovely
parting gift she felt like giving everyone."

Avril Lavigne Files for Divorce...

Avril Lavigne filed for divorce and asked the court to deny
spousal support to estranged husband Deryck Whibley, Los Angeles
court documents show.

Avril, cited the standard reason of irreconcilable differences
and said that their property rights are to be determined.

Avril and the 29-year-old musician for Sum 41 were married for
three years. They announced their separation last month.

Earlier this month, Whibley was spotted getting close with model
and designer Hanna Beth Merjos in Las Vegas.

Avril's attorney wasn't immediately available for comment.

Selena Gomez Turns Clothing Designer...

Following in the fashionable footsteps of other Disney starlets
like Miley Cyrus and Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez has turned designer.

The Texas tomboy-turned-fashionista has teamed up with Generra
designer Tom Melillo and fashion business veteran Sandra Campos
to create an eco-friendly, pretty, boho-chic line for young girls,
according to WWD.

Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez is set to hit stores in Fall 2010
and will encompass boho dresses, floral printed tops, jeans, skirts,
jackets and some accessories including hats and scarves.

Russell Crowe Clipped by Firetruck...

A firetruck slammed into Russell Crowe's ride during a movie shoot
in Pittsburgh yesterday... problem is, it wasn't in the script.

Russell and co-star Elizabeth Banks were shooting a scene inside a
van, which was parked near a Pittsburgh fire station, when a
firetruck suddenly pulled out of a nearby station and banged into
the front of the van.

There were no injuries, except to the van. The front end was
reportedly knocked off.

'Terminator' Kid Busted for DUI...

Thomas Dekker, the guy who played "John Connor" on the Terminator =

TV show, was arrested last night on suspicion of DUI after
allegedly hitting a bicyclist.

Law enforcement sources says the 21-year-old "The Sarah Connor
Chronicles" actor was busted around 9pm Wednesday in the San
Fernando Valley.

On his booking sheet, Thomas is listed as being 5'11", 155lbs.

He's currently being held on suspicion of felony DUI and causing
bodily harm. His bail is set at $100,000.

It's Todd English...

Speaking to PEOPLE, a tearful Todd described the relationship
between the two of them as "volatile and vicious," accusing Wang
of "physical and verbal abuse" that reached fever pitch when she
reportedly hit him in the eye last month.

"I couldn't go through with it," said Todd. "I thought I'd met
my partner, but as things progressed it went down hill."

A source close to Todd, however, also explains, "He had other
girlfriends."
