The horror flick Split is the No. 1 movie in North America for a second weekend after earning an additional $26.3 million in receipts, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.
Coming in at No. 2 with $18.4 million is A Dog's Purpose, followed by Hidden Figures at No. 3 with $14 million, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter at No. 4 with $13.9 million and La La Land at No. 5 with $12.1 million.
Rounding out the top tier are xXx: The Return of Xander Cage at No. 6 with $8.3 million, Sing at No. 7 with $6.2 million, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story at No. 8 with $5.1 million, Monster Trucks at No. 9 with $4.1 million and Gold at No. 10 with $3.5 million.

'Alien,' 'The Elephant Man' alum John Hurt dies at 77
Screen icon John Hurt has died in London at the age of 77.
The Hollywood Reporter, which confirmed his Friday death, said Hurt announced in June 2015 that he was battling pancreatic cancer.
The British actor's credits include the Harry Potter and Hellboy film franchises, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Elephant Man, 1984, A Man for All Seasons, Midnight Express and Alien.
"So very sad to hear that the immensely talented and deeply beloved John Hurt has died. My thoughts are with his family and friends," Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling said on Twitter.
"No one could have played The Elephant Man more memorably. He carried that film into cinematic immortality. He will be sorely missed," filmmaker Mel Brooks tweeted.
"The crumpled grandeur of John Hurt was always a joy to behold. That voice, those eyes - an almost painful sensitivity. So many wonders. RIP," said Sherlock co-star and writer Mark Gatiss.
"My deepest sympathies to John Hurt's family, friends and fans. He was a dear friend," actor Kiefer Sutherland offered.
"John Hurt was nothing if not movingly human. Loyal, loving and incredibly intelligent and kind. He was family," writer-director-producer Guillermo del Toro said in a post.

Producers Guild of America honors 'La La Land,' 'Atlanta,' 'Stranger Things'
The Producers Guild of America honored the contemporary musical La La Land with its Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures in Los Angeles Saturday night.
The Netflix series Stranger Things earned the Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Drama, and FX's Atlanta won the Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Comedy.
O.J.: Made in America was recognized with the prize for Outstanding Producer of Documentary Theatrical Motion Pictures and Zootopia scored the Award for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures.
Actor Robert DeNiro and director Martin Scorsese also presented the David O. Selznick Award for Achievement in Producing Theatrical Motion Pictures to Irwin Winkler during the gala.
The Screen Actors Guild will hand out its awards for excellence in film and television acting on Sunday evening.

Ashton Kutcher speaks out against travel ban at SAG Awards
Ashton Kutcher slammed President Donald Trump's executive order banning people traveling from some Muslim-majority countries as he presented the first award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
"Good evening, fellow SAG-AFTRA members, and everyone at home, and everyone in airports that belong in my America," the actor said onstage Sunday, days after Trump signed the executive order.
"You are a part of the fabric of who we are, and we love you, and we welcome you," he continued.
Before appearing onstage, Kutcher took to social media to criticize the ban, pointing to his wife Mila Kunis' immigration to the United States.
"My wife came to this country on a refugee visa in the middle of the Cold War! My blood is boiling right now!" The Ranch star wrote on Twitter. "We have never been a nation built on fear. Compassion that is the root ethic of America. Our differences are fundamental 2R sustainability."
"If standing for the America that doesn't discriminate makes me a left wing actor who is out of touch. [Expletive] it," he continued following the awards show on Twitter. "I believe in protecting borders. I believe is enabling safety and security but we do so with honor. We are Americans. #ABetterWay."
Other stars attacked the immigration order at the SAG Awards including Julia Louis-Dreyfus who said, "This immigrant ban is a blemish and it is un-American," while Sarah Paulson urged viewers to donate to the American Civil Liberties Union, which filed a lawsuit against the ban.

Ralph Macchio is to guest star on the mid-Season 6 premiere of the reality show Comic Book Men, AMC announced Friday.
The series follows the knowledgeable and entertaining staff who work at filmmaker Kevin Smith's New Jersey comic-book and pop-culture memorabilia shop, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash.
A synopsis for the Feb. 13 episode "Karate Kustomer" promised Macchio will visit the store looking for a rare playset inspired by his classic 1984 movie The Karate Kid.
