Ashton Kutcher's reign as Twitter king is over.
Britney Spears now has more Twitter followers than the actor,
who once famously beat CNN to 1 million followers. As of Monday
afternoon, Britney had 4,955,768 followers, while Ashton had
4,944,221 followers.
"WOW!!!!! #1 on Twitter," Britney wrote. "Thank you! =
Tweet me
some questions this morning! xoxo ?Brit."
So, what does Ashton think about losing his Twitter title?
"I don't care," he Tweeted after being informed about the news
at a junket for his upcoming movie, Killers. Britney, meanwhile,
was much peppier about things, taking to her Twitter account
to personally thank fans. "This is really amazing! I love you
all! I better get busy writing 4,947,608 thank you notes! U
guys make me sooo happy! -Brit," she wrote.
In recent weeks, it appeared that Britney would outrank Ashton
on Twitter. When polled, 64 percent of people said they were
happy the pop star was gaining on Ashton.

Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato Split...
Joe Jonas is back on the market!
Joe and Demi have called it quits, a source says, but will still
be hitting the road together this summer, starting July 27.
The pair, who went public with their relationship in March, first
met on the set of Camp Rock in 2007; Lovato toured with the Jonas
Brothers the following year.
The pair recently spoke to PEOPLE, and Demi said she was looking
forward to touring with the Jonas Brothers this summer.
"I'm fortunate that I get to work with the person that I'm in
the relationship with," she said. "Rather than being across
the country and texting him, I can have him hold my hand when
I'm tired."
Joe, meanwhile, shed light on how their friendship became a
romance. "I think after the movie was complete, then we kind
of took the time to get to know each other a little deeper,"
he said.

Lady Gaga Tested for Lupus ? But Tells Fans to Not Worry...
Ever since she nearly collapsed on stage in March and had to
cancel several shows earlier this year citing exhaustion, Lady
Gaga has had pals worrying if she's on the verge of tipping.
And now the pop star's latest health scare probably isn't
helping to alleviate those fears.
"I'm very connected to my aunt, Joanne, who died of lupus,"
she says. "It's a very personal thing."
When asked if she's been tested, Gaga says "yes," without
elaborating on the results, adding that she doesn't "want
anyone to be worried" even though the disease, in which the
immune system attacks the body, can be genetic.
"I have heart palpitations and things. But it's okay. It's
just from fatigue and other things," the singer, who said
she fainted during her New Zealand concert because of jet
lag, tells the U.K. newspaper.
Her most recent health emergency: "The other day," Gaga says
about her time in Tokyo where she was "having trouble
breathing."
After receiving "a little oxygen," the "Bad Romance" singer
went back on stage. "I was okay," she says, again adding, "I
don't want anyone to worry."
As for buzz about her thin body, Gaga wants to reassure fans
that she doesn't "have an eating problem," but rather points
to her busy schedule that doesn't allow her "very much time
to eat."
"I really don't do drugs. I don't touch cocaine any more. I
don't smoke," she says. "I take care of myself."
But don't expect her to slow down anytime soon.
"People say I should take a break," says Gaga. "But I'm like,
'Why should I take a break? What do you want me to do? Go on
vacation?"

Slipknot Bassist Paul Gray Dies at Age 38...
Paul Gray, the bassist for metal band Slipknot, was found dead
at an Iowa hotel on Monday.
The rocker was 38 years old.
The Urbandale Police department said that a hotel employee
discovered Paul's body early Monday.
Police found no evidence of foul play, but an investigation
into Paul's death has begun.
As a member of the Grammy-winning band (whose members rarely
step out without their trademark masks), Paul often went by
the monikers of "#2" and "The Pig." He was arrested in 2003
=
on suspicion of cocaine and marijuana.

Jesse Says Baby Louis Brought Him and Sandra Closer...
Jesse James says he and Sandra Bullock were feeling closer than
ever in their marriage, thanks to their new baby Louis, before
everything exploded with revelations of his cheating.
"To see her in the role as mother is, like, one of the most
amazing things I've ever seen," the motorcycle guru says.
"She is like a fish to water. ... As soon as she put that
baby into her hands, it was automatic and amazing."
He adds: "I found a new trust for her, like I knew she wasn't
going to leave, and our relationship blossomed."
Jesse and Sandra found out over Christmas that the adoption had
gone through, and welcomed Louis, born in New Orleans, on New
Year's Day. In March, Jesse's infidelity scandal erupted.
Jesse said seeing the PEOPLE cover in April of his estranged
wife holding up their son was a painful reminder that he was
suddenly absent from the child's life. "It made me sad, but
I realize why things have to be done in a certain way," he
says, pointing out that adoption agencies could be critical
of him as a father in light of recent events.

Bret Michaels to Undergo Heart Surgery in the Fall...
Bret Michaels is headed back to the hospital.
In an interview with Access Hollywood Monday afternoon, an
optimistic Bret, who suffered a brain hemorrhage in April
and stroke just last week, revealed he will be having heart
surgery this fall to repair the hole in his heart.
?They have to let everything clear out and then they?ll go
in and do the operation in my heart and then I?m gonna be
great," Bret said. "I don?t have any other options except
to think that it?s gonna be great, it?s gonna be a smooth
operation and I?m gonna feel awesome.?
In preparation for the surgery, Bret will have to wait until
his body is clear of themedicines keeping him alive as a
result of his recent health scares.
?I?ve never felt pain like that ever,? Bret said of his
brain hemorrhage. ?I got knocked out at the Tonys by a wall
and it didn?t feel half as bad as that did.?
In the meantime, the rocker plans on enjoying his Celebrity
Apprentice win, even if it isn't as wild as the parties fans
saw him host on his VH1 reality show.

It's James Franco...
The actor has been studying filmmaking at New York University's
prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, and realized his stardom
wouldn't afford him any special treatment when he used his cell
phone in class earlier this month, and was reprimanded by his
lecturer.
A source commented, "The professor was so annoyed that James
wasn't paying attention; he told him to go wait outside the
class. He didn't care James is a celebrity."
And James was immediately humiliated by the scolding: "James
said he felt like a kid."
