Proverbs 24:6

For by wise counsel you will wage your own war,
And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

Sometimes we cannot find answers in the Bible for discerning God's will for our lives concerning specifics, such as should I buy a certain house, or move to a new location. If we have prayed and are still not sure which course to take, it never hurts to seek the council of other mature christians for feedback and input.

God Bless You!

--TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION:

Why Should God reveal any more of His will to us if we are not following that part of His will that is already revealed in His Word?

-Richard C. Halverson

--FEATURED FUNNY:

Each day when I would come home from work I would drop to my knees and ask my 4-year-old son if he wanted to box. I wanted him to learn how to protect himself. We would spar around for a few minutes before supper.

One day my wife and I took our son to get new shoes. The shoe salesman was friendly and allowed my son to try on several pairs of shoes before we decided on a particular pair that he liked. We asked if he wanted to wear them home and he replied, "yes".

The salesman, who was kneeling on the floor in front of our son, held the old shoes in his hands and asked, "do you want a box?"

Our son stood up and punched him right on the nose. After grabbing our son we had to spend the next several minutes explaining why this happened. Luckily, our salesman was also the father of a 4-year-old.

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. What was wrong with the stew that was fed to the sons of the prophets?

A. It had poisonous gourds in it.

2 Kings 4:39-40

So one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered from it a lapful of wild gourds, and came and sliced them into the pot of stew, though they did not know what they were.

Then they served it to the men to eat. Now it happened, as they were eating the stew, that they cried out and said, "Man of God, there is death in the pot!" And they could not eat it.
