2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.


Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

We looked at Romans 8:15, which says that you "did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." Romans goes on to say that, "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs -- heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."

We are not told that we will never suffer. But, we are children of God! Think of how a child acts when s/he is hurt and frightened. Go to your heavenly Father the same way. Let Him hold you and comfort you in the midst of frightening situations. Put your trust in Him, as children do their parents!
