Here's the Scoop...

Finally! I got out to the movie theater this weekend! Not for Solo, but for Deadpool 2. It was great! However, Solo did blast off to the top box office spot.

Solo: A Star Wars Story, starring Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover, is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $83.3 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 with $42.7 million is Deadpool 2, followed by Avengers: Infinity War at No. 3 with $16.5 million, Book Club at No. 4 with $9.5 million and Life of the Party at No. 5 with $5.1 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Breaking In at No. 6 with $4.1 million, Show Dogs at No. 7 with $3.1 million, Overboard at No. 8 with $3 million, A Quiet Place at No. 9 with $2.2 million and RBG at No. 10 with $1.1 million.

The last time I was at a movie was during the 'silent' era.

Be Well,
Steve

Morgan Freeman apologizes following sexual harassment allegations
Morgan Freeman was accused of sexual harassment by eight women Thursday as part of a special report by CNN that also mentions eight others who witnessed the actor taking part in inappropriate behavior.

The report said Freeman harassed women and made sexual remarks on the set of his films, inside the office of his production company Revelations Entertainment and at press junkets while speaking with female journalists.

Freeman has responded to the allegations with an apology statement.

"Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected -- that was never my intent," he said.

A young production assistant, who chose to remain anonymous, told CNN that Freeman would inappropriately touch her and make comments about her figure and clothing throughout the making of the 2015 comedy Going In Style, which also starred Alan Arkin and Michael Caine.

She said the 80-year-old kept trying to lift up her skirt and asked her if she was wearing underwear.

"Alan made a comment telling him to stop," she said. "Morgan got freaked out and didn't know what to say."

Chloe Melas, a CNN entertainment reporter who co-wrote the piece with An Phung, launched the investigation into Freeman's sexual misconduct after she says she was harassed by Freeman at a press junket for Going in Style.

Melas said that she was six months pregnant when she was interviewing the actor and he told her he wished he was there. The comment was caught on camera.

She said Freeman also told her, "You are ripe."

A former executive who worked at Revelations Entertainment told CNN that for Freeman's 79th birthday he had a party where his 30 guests stood in a circle.

The former executive says Freeman then approached every woman in the circle, get real close, and checked them out while looking them up and down without saying anything.

"It was really weird and he did it to every woman but of course he didn't do it to any of the men. He didn't speak to any of the men," the source said.

Report: James Mangold to write, direct 'Star Wars' film about Boba Fett
Logan helmer James Mangold is set to write and direct a Star Wars spinoff film centered around one of the galaxy's most feared bounty hunters, Boba Fett, according to reports.

Disney and Lucasfilm are developing the Boba Fett film alongside a movie focused on Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

Mangold, who is also known for directing Walk the Line, Knight and Day and 3:10 to Yuma, will be working alongside X-Men series writer and producer Simon Kinberg on the Boba Fett project, Variety reported, citing sources.

Boba Fett first appeared in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back and then again in 1983's Return of the Jedi as the bounty hunter who delivered Han Solo (Harrison Ford) to gangster Jabba the Hutt. He was portrayed by Jeremy Bulloch with Jason Wingreen providing his voice.

The origins of the fan-favorite character, known for using a jetpack and donning battle-tested armor, was explored in 2002's Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones which featured Fett's bounty hunting father, Jango Fett (Temuera Morrison).

News of the Boba Fett film comes as Solo: A Star Wars Story featuring Alden Ehrenreich in the title role, reaches theaters on Friday.

Danny Boyle confirmed to direct 25th James Bond movie
Slumdog Millionaire and Trust director Danny Boyle has signed on to helm the 25th James Bond caper, the film's producers confirmed Friday.

"We are delighted to announce that the exceptionally talented Danny Boyle will be directing Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as James Bond in the 25th installment of the franchise. We will begin shooting Bond 25 at Pinewood Studios in December with our partners at MGM and thrilled that Universal Pictures will be our international distributor," producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a joint statement.

The as-yet-untitled, British spy movie is to be released in the United Kingdom on Oct. 25, 2019 and in the United States on Nov. 8, 2019.

Boyle's Trainspotting collaborator John Hodge is writing the screenplay for the EON Productions and Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios film.

Craig, 50, has been playing secret agent 007 since 2006. He has appeared in the Bond blockbusters Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.

Martin Kove will play Kreese again in 'Cobra Kai' Season 2
Martin Kove is to reprise his The Karate Kid villain Sensei Kreese in Season 2 of the YouTube Red dramedy Cobra Kai.

Deadline.com reported Kove will be a series regular in the 2019 episodes and the actor re-tweeted a link to the article with the message: "Thanks @DEADLINE for the support it's truly a #Cobrakaination @CobraKaiSeries."

Kove, 72, was seen in a cameo in the final moments of Season 1 when his former karate student Johnny, played by William Zabka, is drunk and upset, alone in his apartment. It wasn't immediately clear if Kreese was a hallucination or really there.

Earlier in the series, Johnny mentioned Kreese had died. The teacher is seen in archival footage from the first three Karate Kid movies training his students to show no mercy to their opponents.

Cobra Kai follows Johnny as he revives Kreese's dojo, using his mentor's ruthless tactics to teach bullied teens how to protect themselves. The move pits Johnny against his old nemesis Daniel, played by Ralph Macchio, who teaches his students the importance of balance and honor.

The series has a 100 percent positive rating on the review aggregator Rottentomatoes.com.

Kove is known for his work in the TV show Cagney & Lacey, as well as in the movies Death Race 2000 and Rambo: First Blood Part II.

Which cast member said that a 'Parks and Recreation' revival would be 'amazing'?

Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler says a revival would be "amazing."

The 46-year-old actress voiced interest in new episodes during an interview with former co-star Nick Offerman on Thursday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I'll speak for everybody and say we would all do it," Poehler, who played Leslie Knope on the NBC series, told host Ellen DeGeneres.

"I think we would all do it someday. It would be amazing," she said.

Offerman, who portrayed Ron Swanson, jokingly said they'd bring the show back if singer Beyoncé were involved.

"We just had a fitting earlier," the actor said. "We said if Beyoncé will play the mayor, we'll bring the show back."

Parks and Recreation ended in February 2015 after a seven-season run. Offerman told The Daily Beast in March he'd be open to a revival if Poehler and series creator Michael Schur were involved.

"If that were ever to occur, it would be thanks to brains much larger than mine. Brains that I trust with my life. And so, if Mike Schur and Amy Poehler want to bring the show back and they think it's a good idea, I will certainly sign on," he said.

Parks and Recreation co-starred Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt and Adam Scott. Plaza, who played April Ludgate, told Entertainment Tonight in January that she misses Pratt, who portrayed her on-screen husband.
