Here's the Scoop...

I'm trying something new with a 'Spoiler Alert!' section. It's a story about the series finale of 'The Middle'. If you haven't watched the finale yet, then please avoid the spoilers shared at the end of this issue.

Don't worry. The 'Spoiler Alert!' thing will NOT replace the classic 'Guess Who?' section.

And find out what that Richard Gere guy is gonna be doing soon for the BBC.

Be Well,
Steve

Charlize Theron to portray Megyn Kelly in Roger Ailes film
Charlize Theron has been tapped to portray news anchor Megyn Kelly in an untitled film about Roger Ailes, the former chairman and CEO of Fox News.

Ailes made headlines in July 2016 when he left Fox News amid sexual misconduct allegations from Kelly and fellow network star Gretchen Carlson. Kelly told investigators during an independent inquiry that Ailes had sexually harassed her in the past.

The film hails from Annapurna Pictures and director Jay Roach with a script by The Big Short writer Charles Randolph. The film has been in development from before Ailes death in May 2017 at the age of 77, Deadline reported.

Carlson, who won a sexual harassment lawsuit against Fox News and Ailes that resulted in her winning a $20 million settlement, will also be a character in the film, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

Theron is also producing with Roach, Randolph, Margaret Riley, Beth Kono and AJ Dix. No other casting or production start date has been set.

Kelly, after exiting Fox News and her show The Kelly File, moved to NBC where she now hosts Megyn Kelly Today as part of the network's Today morning news program.

'The Middle' wraps up after nine seasons (Spoiler alert!)

The ABC sitcom The Middle ended Tuesday after nine seasons.

The show starred Patricia Heaton and Neil Flynn as a working-class couple -- Frankie and Mike Heck -- raising their three children -- Sue (played by Eden Sher,) Axl (played by Charlie McDermott) and Brick (played by Atticus Shaffer) -- in Indiana.

The series finale saw the whole family taking an emotional road trip to bring a now-adult Axl to Colorado where he is starting a new job. About an hour into the trip, Sean Donahue, played by Beau Wirick, chases their car down to declare his love for Sue. He then heads off to Ghana for three months, but Sue promises she will wait for him.

The episode ends with a flash-forward showing Axl eventually moves back to his hometown, gets married and has three sons who look and act just like him. Brick becomes a best-selling author and Sue and Sean tie the knot after years of breakups and makeups. Frankie and Mike never get around to doing the home improvements they intend to, but they live together happily for years to come.

"It really has been one Heck of a ride," Heaton tweeted.
