I've been a fan of the rock band Queen my whole life. And now with the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody rocking out in theaters in November, I am beyond excited! Have you seen the trailer?
Rami Malek sings as Freddie Mercury onstage in the first trailer for upcoming Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
The clip, released Tuesday, chronicles Mercury's rockstar life and features Queen recording songs together in the studio before taking the stage in front of massive crowds.
Anthony McCarten wrote the script for Bohemian Rhapsody and Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor served as music producers. The cast includes Allen Leech as Mercury's personal manager Paul Prenter, Ben Hardy as Taylor, Gwilym Lee as May and Joe Mazzello as John 'Decay' Deacon, the bassist and composer who handled Queen's financial dealings.
"Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet, the synopsis reads.
"The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury's lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day," it continues.
Filmmaker Dexter Fletcher was hired as the new director of Bohemian Rhapsody to replace original director Bryan Singer after he failed to show up to set on multiple occasions. Singer disputed the claims and said Fox did not give him enough time to deal with an illness in the family and his own health.
Bohemian Rhapsody is set to arrive in theaters on Nov. 2.

Margot Kidder, Lois Lane in 'Superman', dead at 69
Margot Kidder, the actress best known for portraying Superman's love interest Lois Lane opposite the late Christopher Reeve, has died at the age of 69.
Kidder died Sunday at her home in Livingston, Mont., the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory confirmed.
People magazine said her cause of death is unknown.
Kidder portrayed Lois Lane, the determined and strong-willed Daily Planet reporter who falls in love with Superman, starting with 1978's Superman. She reprised the role three more times in Superman II (1980), Superman III (1983) and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987).
Kidder also starred in Quackser Fortune Has A Cousin in the Bronx, The Amityville Horror, Mob Story and The White Room, among other films.
The actress suffered from mental health issues throughout her life that left her homeless in 1996.
She is survived by her daughter, Maggie McGuane.
Guillermo del Toro creating a horror anthology series for Netflix
Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is working on a new horror anthology series called 10 After Midnight for Netflix.
This marks the Shape of Water auteur's first live-action series. He also created the animated series Trollhunters for the streaming service.
His live-action films include Crimson Peak, Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy.
"Creator and executive producer del Toro will bring his own visionary style as both a writer and director to certain episodes," a news release announcing his latest project said. "In addition, he will hand pick a team of the genre's best writers and exciting new filmmakers to bring his selection of stories to life."
No casting has been announced.

John Cena on Nikki Bella split: 'I don't want anybody else'
John Cena discussed his split from girlfriend Nikki Bella Monday on Today, with the WWE Superstar saying that he still loves his former fiancee.
"I had my heart broken out of nowhere -- or for me, it was out of nowhere," Cena said to Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford about the breakup.
"I still love Nicole. I still would love to marry Nicole. I still would love to have a family with Nicole," he continued. "There was an unfortunate set of circumstances where our relationship ended."
Cena also stated that he wants to reconcile with Bella and hopes they can find a way back to each other. "I don't want anybody else, I love Nicole. And I'm really trying to support her in finding whatever it is that she wants that made this fall apart in the first place," he said. "I don't have any other hopes other than that maybe one day we can work it out."
Bella announced in April that the pair had split and called off their wedding plans after being together for six years.
The third season of E!'s Total Bellas, which premieres on Friday, is set to chronicle the breakup between Bella and Cena.
"I think a lot of people are going to be able to relate to it," Bella said while speaking with E! about the new season. "I think it's going to also give a lot of people courage and bravery to speak up. I think sometimes we go through things because we're like, 'Ok, this is what we need to do. It's too late.' It's never too late to make a decision."
ABC renews 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' for a sixth season
ABC announced Monday it renewed its Marvel action-drama Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a sixth season.
Starring Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen and Chloe Bennet, the show follows the world-saving, non-superhero members of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division.
Season 5 is to wrap Friday.
"Coulson's life or death is the challenge the team finds themselves in, as the wrong decision will cause the destruction of Earth!" the Marvel website said about the season finale.

Sony to release Gary Hart biopic this fall starring which X-Men actor?
Sony Pictures announced it has acquired the worldwide rights to Jason Reitman's The Front Runner, starring Hugh Jackman as former politician Gary Hart.
Hart, now 81, served as a U.S. senator from Colorado from 1975 to 1987.
"The Front Runner chronicles the rise and fall of politician Gary Hart, who was considered the front-runner for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination when his campaign was sidelined by the story of an extramarital relationship with Donna Rice. As tabloid journalism and political journalism merged for the first time, Senator Hart was forced to drop out of the race," a synopsis of the movie said.
The big-screen adaptation of Matt Bai's 2014 book All the Truth Is Out will also feature Vera Farmiga, J.K. Simmons, Mamoudou Athie, Josh Brener, Kaitlyn Dever, Tommy Dewey, Molly Ephraim, Spencer Garrett, Ari Graynor, Toby Huss, Mike Judge, Alex Karpovsky, Mark O'Brien, Sara Paxton, Kevin Pollak and Steve Zissishe.
"Having grown up wandering around the Columbia lot as a kid, it is a particular thrill to bring The Front Runner back home to the first studio I can remember. I cannot wait for moviegoers to see Hugh's humanist transformation into one of the more complicated political figures of our time," Reitman -- who is the son of the late filmmaker Ivan Reitman -- said in a statement.
The Front Runner is scheduled for a fall, theatrical release.
