Greetings Thrifty Friends,

A lot of money gets washed down the drain when you take a shower, and I'm not just talking about hot water. How many people have three different kinds of soap in their shower stall? Unless you're using a medicated soap for something you really don't need it.

Be honest; what's the difference between shampoo and body wash?

Keep pinchin' those pennies,
Penny

TODAY'S THRIFTY TIP:

Let's do a little shopping online for body wash. Okay, here is a 19.5 oz bottle of hydrating body wash for $5.69. I guess that's not too bad.

Here's something called Coconut & Hibiscus. Sounds nice. Only $6.59 for 13 little ounces.

Oooo... this body wash is infused with tea tree oil. That's got to be good for your skin. It better be for $13.93 for 12 oz.

Personally, all I buy is moisturizing shampoo. I get a 28oz bottle for $3.99 at Target. I use it both as a shampoo and as a body wash and one bottle usually lasts me 2 months or longer.

Granted, I don't smell like coconut & hibiscus or tea tree oil, but I get just as clean, my skin is just as soft, and cash always smells sweeter to me than pretty smelling soap.
